Its no shocker that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is wary of Elon Musk and Tesla he once said there is way too much hype around the company.
At a conference in Sweden last week, Wozniak, who owns two Model S vehicles, doubled down on his Tesla criticism while still leaving an opening for future optimism.
Now, I dont believe anything Elon Musk or Tesla says, Wozniak said. But I still love the car.
In his talk about Tesla, Wozniak recounted one incident at Lake Tahoe, where his Tesla skidded off an icy road and fell into a snow bank, according to Business Insider, which reported on the Q&A with Wozniak. Despite the accident, Wozniak said he maintained his trust for Tesla, upgrading his model when Tesla introduced the feature that allows Tesla owners to summon their self-driving vehicles.

Hey Woz, Tesla died in 43. And the cars dont talk.
I don’t trust anything either of them say.
I don’t have a personal problem with either, but even Woz’s job is now to make money for larger entities. To get him to work for you is millions and he has to show that kind of improvement to your company to justify the costs.
This means he will (and should) say and do anything to raise your company to new heights. And frankly, he can’t enough ideas and command ability to do so at his cost.
Elon Musk, we all know, is fundamentally a hype guy. He does it different than other hype guys but it’s still his job. His cars are neat, but they operate at a net loss and are cheaply built (outside of the motor and batteries). He’s done a fine job of getting to line up to pay $130k for $8000 worth of laptop batteries, $10-20k worth of motors and $14,000 worth of leftover Mercedes bits.
Elon has always said that people are paying too much for his cars because they are funding his R&D. Woz tells people they are paying a ton of money .. just because they get shiny things in return.
The proof is in the pudding.
Hey you just ease up there Mr. Wozniak. Just imagine if you spent $50 billion on assembly plants and a gigafactory that you can’t get to function. You just might be selling hats and flamethrowers too. And its not true that Elon Musk and Jim Jones were cousins. So watch what you say or you will make some people very, very angry. You might just get yourself exiled from California.
Wiz was a tag along in the creation of Apple. Calling him cofounder though is technically correct.
Elon Musk is like the Wizard of Oz.
There is nothing behind the curtain
“...Wozniak recounted one incident at Lake Tahoe, where his Tesla skidded off an icy road and fell into a snow bank...”
I live in snow country - it’s snowing right now outside my office window - and the MAJORITY of folks who live here do not have snow tires!
WOZ likely did not have appropriate ‘shoes’ on his rig.
I don’t give a crap about the car or Musk, et. al. - if you want to drive in snow and ice BUY FREAKIN’ SNOW TIRES!
Who said Jim Jones?
Electric cars are not the best on snow or ice.
Full torque at zero RPM will defiantly cause slides and skids.
Tesla makes an absolutely fantastic vehicle. This vehicle should not exist in a truly free market. It exists only because of government subsidizes. If it can succeed without a subsidies, this is good. If it fails without a subsidy this is also good.

I don’t believe a word published in the Murkey Nooz nor the Yeast Bay Slimes.
.
... all by it's own self. Woz dindu nuffin.
Does Blizzak even make low profile tires or is there some other manufacturer for those?
.
Woz is just a big old kid!
.
Saw my first Tesla Model 3 yesterday. FWIW.

Ever been to Tahoe in the winter?
Most of the roads are like snow tunnels that you couldn’t slide off of if you tried!
(had a house up there long time ago. had to winch my way into my own driveway to park in the winter)
Musk doesn’t take a salary. He gets paid minimum wage by law, but doesn’t cash the checks. He borrows against his stock holdings to pay his expenses. Just about everything he has is invested in his companies.
No, but I own a Subaru GT turbo wagon that I got a real deal on because the owner couldn’t handle it as well as she thought she could and stuffed it into a snowbank sideways up there. Paint was perfect, just dimpled and one fender slightly curled under. Dent Doctor, $600 all said, can’t even tell. Original paint, clean Carfax.
