fwiw, At one time, I lived in a house with 5 dogs.

We fed them raw chicken bought from a chicken processing facility.
It was the backs of chickens cleared of much of the meat but with some still left on them.

Raw chicken bones are flexible and do not shatter/splinter.
Cooked chicken bones are another matter, they do shatter/splinter.

The dogs loved them.

"...He's found something that makes his life worth living in this overwhelmingly crappy world. As a benefit, it gives otherwise abandoned cats a happy existence. In taking care of my cat I learned there is great reward in caring for another life, even a feline one. If this brings him joy and purpose, I wish him all the best..."

Why can't all people be as magnanimous and wise as you?

Most people suck. Life is cruel. Then you die.

Cats distract from the horribleness of life.

Let’s hope HE won the lottery, too.

We had a white cat that would only use a perfectly clean litter box. If any of the other cats got there first, it was the bathtub for her. Luckily, easy to clean. But, boy, did it make us struggle to keep the litter box up to her standards.

I think he is doing good work! With my own 17 cats we care for, I know they all demand their on-on-one human time, though. But I wish him well! He spends his money taking care of God’s creatures!

He’s mentally ill? And exactly why would that be? It’s his house, it’s his money, and he’s caring for God’s animals. That’s not mental illness, that’s called compassion...you might want to look that word up since you obviously ain’t got any.

Mentally ill people can have compassion.

Having 300 cats living in your house is not normal human behavior.

He probably suffers from an “attachment disorder” from losing his son.

At some point this will not end well...
