Unverified pictures and video footage has begun to circulate on social media purporting to show a pair of Russian Su-57 fighters, also known as the PAK FA and T-50, touching down at the country's Khmeimim air base in Syria's Latakia province. The Kremlin has already used the Syrian conflict as an excuse to demonstrate new and advanced weaponry and even if this video turns out to not show operations in Syria, it is likely only a matter of time before the aircraft touch down in the country.

Not our business. Assad has invited Russia to help defend his country and government against rebels who took up arms against their country and nations that have invaded Syria. That would be mostly the US.

That’s only half the story. We invade Syria chasing bad guys that are there. Granted, bad guys Obama financed.
Why? We already know how to build an overweight, over budget, over time-frame, under-performing stealth aircraft. It's called the F-35.

They’d be better off sending more smart bombs.
They’ve run out and are using plain ol’ iron bombs and miss. Lots.
Vlad is trying to scare up some orders—and money—for the PAK FA program. The aircraft has been in the words for over 20 years; as Moscow envisioned it, they would develop the aircraft and India would pay for it, with the respective air forces splitting the production run.
But as the program drags on (and costs continue to rise), Delhi has grown impatient. There have been persistent reports that the Indian Navy wants the F-35 and we’re willing to sell them the jet, they will cancel PAK FA, which would essentially kill the program. Without India’s financial backing, Putin can’t produce the jet in significant quantities on his own. Moscow has even told Delhi that the S-400 SAM deal will be cancelled unless India remains in the PAK FA program. India wants the S-400; they are now lukewarm (at best) on Russia’s fifth generation fighter.

Hamas supports the Syrian rebels. Why would Assad invite them? Hezbollah cut funding to Hamas from 2015 until mid 2017 over Hamas’ support of the Syrian Rebels.
