When the clock says 7 o’clock in the morning, my body says it’s 6 o’clock, and the dogs say it’s breakfast time.
Think I can teach the dogs to tell time?
Border collies do not understand this concept of Daylight Savings Time.
On the longest mid-summer days, in my area you get home from work, let's say 5:30 and you and the family can be outside until 9:30 when it is finally dark. Why give that up?
The change never bothered me, but for those who are bothered, get up a half-hour earlier (or later on Saturday) and another half-hour on Sunday and you'll more prepared for Monday morning. Is that so hard?
Yes. With the increased sunlight hours in the summer, it's better to transfer one to the evening. In the winter, with fewer sunlight hours (in the northern hemisphere) and colder weather, having a little morning daylight as people go to work and school is better.
Of course one can always find some places, especially near the edge of a time zone, where DST might be considered too much, or too little (depending on which edge).
I think all this, “saving” daylight has caused global warming!
I prefer moonshine! The country needs moonshine!
DST is about state rights! Any state can opt out as Arizona and Hawaii have chosen to do!
Who wants it to get light at 5 a.m. in the summer? I’d rather it stay light until past nine.
>>”Without DST, you get 7 to 5 daylight and in the Summer 5 to 7 daylight.”
With or without DST you get the same amount of daylight. You can’t fool mother nature.
Let those who wish to change their own hours for work or school or whatever. No need of contrivances for those who don’t.
>>” having a little morning daylight as people go to work and school is better.”
Let those who like that change their work hours or school hours. No need for the rest to adjust to them.
I agree Without dst it would be getting light at 3:30 here. I prefer the extra daylight at the end if the day
And I really dont mind if its dark on the way to work in the winter..... when you drive to work at 6:15 its dark most of the year anyway
No, no, it was to allow the kids home after school to spend more time helping with the harvest. Farmers go by weather and daylight hours, not clocks.
Yes, I mean only clock time.
