FULL TITLE: Moment sheriff's deputy stayed OUTSIDE Parkland school while 17 children were massacred inside is caught on newly released CCTV footage

Newly released school security video shows a Florida sheriff's deputy go toward the high school building while a gunman massacred 17 students and staff members, but he stayed outside with his handgun drawn for some 27 minutes.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office released the video on Thursday showing disgraced former Deputy Scot Peterson's actions during the February 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

It shows him and a staff member rushing toward the 1200 building in a golf cart. He pulls his weapon and takes up a position outside the building.

I watched part of the video and while I didn’t see his thumb up his ass, I would say it the video was inconclusive on that point.

Deputies were told to set up ‘perimeter’ around Parkland shooting... - Miami Herald - March 01, 2018 09:49 PM

"The Broward Sheriff’s Office captain who initially took charge of the chaotic scene at a Parkland high school where 17 people were killed told deputies to form a perimeter around the deadly scene — which they did instead of going in to confront the shooter, according to a partial BSO dispatch log obtained by the Miami Herald..."

"Capt. Jan Jordan, commander of BSO’s Parkland district, gave the order..."

The correct answer to the perimeter order would have been “ screw you, I’m going in. If you’d like to follow me you can, but I’m not waiting for you”. Also by waiting outside they were violating their own policy which calls for them to go in immediately. Complete cluster-____.

I remember watching a “Law & Order” episode.

A male nurse let a rich guy die, as I remember.

Because he was a nurse, he was criminally liable, as I remember.

Any lawyers out there?

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Art. II, s. 5(b), State Const., which states that:

‘I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, protect, and defend the Constitution and Government of the United States and of the State of Florida; that I am duly qualified to hold office under the Constitution of the state; and that I will well and faithfully perform the duties of (title of office) on which I am now about to enter. So help me God.’,

I’ve downloaded it, will look at it later. There is still the fact that there were multiple officers available, and the department’s policy was for immediate entry.

Which means 66% were not shot. Seems like decent odds.

WHERE IS THE DEMAND FOR FEDERAL AND STATE INVESTIGATIONS ????
They’re missing the point It’s not guns or the NRA It’s policies which had cops standing outside while killing was going on or some nut getting a gun the FBI knew he wasn’t suppose to... Plus a whole raft of other stuff
THE MEDIA IS DOING THIS BECAUSE
THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW WHY THIS HAPPENED
STOP SPREADING THE CABLE SWILL MILLS POISON
DEMAND STATE AND FED INVESTIGATION ON THE POLICIES WHICH CAUSED THIS

Perhaps, but running in hot and stupid is a good way to add to the body count.

Since I was not their, I am not going to judge the officers.

The change from contain to respond policies is fairly recent.

An armed populous is a far better solution than relying on a baby-sitter police officer.
