IIRC, he got sober years ago and became a Christian.

Mine too. I always like his humor, often somewhat irreverent.

Sir Ringo, the musician, whose real name is Richard Starkey I used to get drunk at a joint called "Sir Richard's Raw Bar".

Ringo is the one with the drum,
The others all play with him.
It shows you what a boy can become
Without a sense of rhythm.

Britain needs to start knighting men who actually contribute to preserving their sovereignty. Both of them.

Ringo was always self-effacing. When he wrote Octopusses’ Garden he sang it across the studio to George and Harrison would yell back the chord changes that were needed, “F Ringo!”

I have been listening to The Beatles a lot lately. They had some great stuff. St Peppers and the White Album......lots of drug use around that time from listening to the lyrics. :>)

So when's Barky gonna get knighted? He won't be able to use the term "Sir Barack" - can only use the initials KBE (Knight of the British Empire) after his name, but after all, he did get a "Noble Peas" Prize...

Good for you, Sir Richard!
As I recall, “Ringo” seemed the most “grounded” of the four.

Great. He's a knight now.
The Queen should send him and Sir Elton John to the Holy land to rescue it from the heathen muhammedans.
Or they could sit around smoking weed and making bad music.
Whatever.

I have been listening to The Beatles a lot latelyWe raised our daughter (now age 31) on the classics (Beatles, Led Zep etc).
Even today, she listens often to them. I asked why "You can sing along to them and the lyrics were great!"
