Actually Reagan’s pick for VP was widely discussed back then. That is when I heard the term “brokered convention” for the first time. Back then they did not announce running mates before the convention.

Rush was citing an article written (somewhere in July of 2017) where this author (a no-Trumper) was speculating the wall may already be started. I think the article was called “Is the Wall Being Built in the Dark?”
Anyway, according TO what Rush was citing, this author had the intellectual honesty to dive into the current omnibus bill to produced some info regarding the actual latitude Trump has with respect to HOW the defense funds are going to be used with speculation wall construction will be kick-started in the name of national security.
The author is concerned Trump WILL do this and won’t be up-front as he should be with a super-public project like this.
Rush also said other Trump haters fear this taking place, too, and are throwing out the possibility the Dems may be been hoodwinked.

Earlier (last Q-thread?) I saw a map of the border wall project that was compiled by the USACoE; that means they were working on it previously.
When the CR money ran out, they had to stop: Red_Castle.
Today, the Omnibus funds them again and they can know pick up where they left off: Green_Castle.
