Couldnt ask for a better final pairing. Lets go Reed!
Cheering for Reed...love that firey don’t give a crap attitude. The guy can play in the heat of competition...plus I win a lot of money if he wins...:)
Go REED!! Wouldn’t mind Ricky Fowler winning either, but no fuzzy-headed foreigners!
golf and the usa team could use that kind of fire. so reeds a bit rough around the edges.. i like it
Hey Patrick!
Perhaps its because after your first PGA win you proclaimed yourself the number one golfer in the world?
Nobody likes a braggadocio.
Love him or hate him, birdieing nine and ten is quite a feat - those are not birdie holes.
“Nobody likes a braggadocio.”
Sure we do. America likes winners. We hate cowardly beta-males.
He’s just about the polar opposite of Jordan Speith. If he wins, I hope he shows grace and class in victory.
Same, want an American to win. Would prefer Fowler over Reed, as he’s a better representative of golf who gives respect to the history & greats of the game. Reed was kicked off the Georgia golf team (alleged cheating & stealing), and even his former teammates at Augusta State dislike him.
I pick Reed over McElroy, but Rickie was my 1st choice....and good for Tiger for making the weekend!
oh...so the author is lying about Reed’s unpopularity?
He never said he was the number 1 player in the world. He said that he believes that he is a top 5 player in the world. Nothing wrong with confidence.

Same with Reed, I didn't take to him at first but I was fortunate to attend the opening day of the Ryder Cup and he was friendly, energetic and very much into winning for the USA. I've liked him ever since.
i think he will behave himself if the wins!
the masters tens to bring out the best in people, I hope patrick has leared a few lessons along the way..
Americans like to root for the underdog, and we believe in second chances. We enjoy the high & mighty being brought low, humbled, and then rehabilitated — Sergio and Tiger are in that category. Now that we know they have feet have clay and have become more mature and self-deprecating, we wouldn’t mind seeing them win again.
P.S. — Sergio should name his next child “Splash” ;)
Sergio had a real Tin Cup moment. It looked like he played the exact same shot 3 times in a row - what consistency to be able to do that - yet the course consistently moved his ball into the water hazard. I felt for the guy and wondered when / where he would find another place to land the ball after the second roll into the water.
This will always be remembered.
As a hack golfer, all I can say is, “Been there, done that.”
Nothing worse than having to ask your playing partner for a ball, because you already put all yours’ into the water.
