Very valuable points -- especially about the veggies first! I do indulge myself with sweets occasionally but my rules are:
- Lots of green leafy vegetables (salads made from spinach -- no salad dressing!), carrots, capsicum, brussels sprouts etc
- pulses, eggs (in moderation meaning up to 5 a week - but I don't keep count)
- limiting the butter and bread - in fact for bread I have only the rye breads (very easy if you live in Central europe, very hard in the West!)
- Meat occassionally - and red meat too, but also occassionally
- Eliminate as far as possible added sugar, so that means looking at labels
- Eliminate glucose-fructose
- Avoid processed food - its overloaded with salt, sugar, glucose-fructose etc.
- Sweets are processed, but a home-made cake is far better
- Oh and I cut out driving as much as possible - cycle or walk or rollerblade
- Oh and getting a dog was a great decision!

Salad dressing with your leafy greens is a good idea as the fat in the dressing helps you absorb the fat soluble vitamins in the leafy greens. Plus, it makes eating salad a pleasure rather than something to endure for your health. I love salad and I eat at least one a day-without my homemade dressing I would eat far less leafy greens.
From what I’ve read, you don’t need to limit eggs to 5 or less per week. I usually eat at least 2 per day and feel better than when I didn’t eat eggs daily. My weight stays down more easily than when I previously limited natural animal fats. My child who struggles with weight eats less animal fat than the rest of us and eats more fruits (Even natural sugar is sugar). Again, it’s an emotional thing as well so I must tread carefully with my words and advice.

True about the fat to help with the vitamins, but I prefer to add something like feta cheese to a salad
I also note that if you add something simple like either feta cheese or add lemon, garlic and olive oil, it is quite tasty.
I note you also said "your home made dressing" -- that is quite different (and healthier) than the store-bought ones
About the eggs - you're right. I just have about 5 because after a point i get fed up :)
What you said is very sensible - except for one point (natural sugar is sugar) - while fruits and honey contain sugar they are more complex sugars and take longer to hit your bloodstream compared to refined sugar.

I SPENT $54 ON CUPCAKES JUST TO BE A *****. HAPPY EASTER, Vega wrote on Facebook.
Cupcakes at these places cost $4 or $5... I find it very difficult to believe they only had 10-15 cupcakes on hand. To actually buy a store out of stock takes several hundred dollars, if not more.
