Thursday at the Education Writers Association’s Education Week forum, Parkland, FL Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor and gun control activist Emma González urged those to “go join the Army” if they wanted to “have fun shooting off a weapon.”
González said, “It’s just cheaper to take away the guns that aren’t imperative to living in America. You don’t need an AR-15 to protect yourself in bed from a robber at night. You don’t need an AR-15 to have fun at a shooting range.”

I did. 1966-1969. That is where I learned how much fun it was to shoot a M-16 and an M-1 carbine, so bought an AR-15 and a carbine upon discharge. Wish I still had them.

The Dems should have Emma and Hogg on the campaign trail this fall.
I called her a lesbian skinhead on FB in March and you’d have thought that I said Mother Teresa was a slut or that Barack Obama was a Kenyan.
My reply, of course, was “tell me which part of ‘lesbian skinhead’ is factually inaccurate.”
Her skinhead schtik works in the environment she inhabits but nowhere else. She’ll figure that out soon.
We should be starting a PAC to put these two on TV in every contested House district every night from Labor Day until Election Day 2018.
