Oops! I wrote Chassidic. Meant Chassids, i.e. Chabad.
A bit of unsolicited trivia. Michael Crichton is the only person to have the #1 TV show, movie, and book at the same time.
Tim Allen also did that back in 1994.
I believe in Chabad, so, I trust them. They don’t say the world is going to end. They say Moshiach, the Messiah, will arrive, and the world will be transformed to a more Divine place.
I’m taking care of myself by following the religion that believes and acts on Hashem’s word. BTW, Hashem is their word for G-d.
I had no idea. Thanks for the heads up.
Well last night “Solo” was available to buy and watch and I did so.
I have only watched the first half of the movie. My take on it, it’s not that great, but it isn’t that bad. Acting is fine and so far I like it. As for Ron Howard doing this film, he was a huge mistake. Howard is not an action director and a film like this needs a full blown action director to make it work and it could have worked better.
While the guy playing Solo would not be my first choice, he’s okay, I would have gotten someone taller with a little more screen presence.
If this film could have been made for less than $100 Million and marketed better it would have made money instead of losing money.
There were just way too many expectations for this film and it set itself up for failure along with those that made it.
