wasn’t that from ‘bewster’s millions’?
If they tow an iceberg, won’t they artificially cool the Ocean? This will affect global warming.
Won’t we all be doomed all over again? /S
The Israelis have offered SA their desalination technology, which is fast and cheap. They said no.
Stupid is a hard thing to fix.
At this stage it appears to us that in fact the groundwater or desalination options are cheaper or at least equal cost price, said Cape Towns deputy mayor, Ian Neilson.
Too bad you told the Israelis to go jump in a lake.
Die of thirst you anti Semitic piece of crap.
L
I suggest you take a day off and go boating!
I had to quit changing brakes and rotors on my boat. I can no longer hold my breath long enough to pull the cotter pins.
I was sorta being sarcastic....but in truth I am curious how the big berg would stop.
Hahaha...have you ever heard the story about the infamous Pykrete Ricochet?
“At the Quebec Conference of 1943 Mountbatten brought a block of pykrete along to demonstrate its potential to the entourage of admirals and generals who had come along with Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Mountbatten entered the project meeting with two blocks and placed them on the ground. One was a normal ice block and the other was pykrete. He then drew his service pistol and shot at the first block. It shattered and splintered. Next, he fired at the pykrete to give an idea of the resistance of that kind of ice to projectiles. The bullet ricocheted off the block, grazing the trouser leg of Admiral Ernest King and ending up in the wall. According to Perutz’s own account, however, the incident of a ricocheting bullet hitting an Admiral actually happened much earlier in London and the gun was fired by someone on the projectnot Mountbatten”
The other version of this was Churchill, Adm. King and some others were in a room, drinking, and someone fired a bullet and nearly hit King. I like that one better...
Probably by having tugs push against it, just like big ships that don’e have bow or lateral thrusters. Also eventually the friction of the water will bring it to a halt.
I love that “eventually” qualifier....
I guess that’s the art of it!
But thank you....
Hehehe, boats DO have brakes...
Lubbers call them “rocks”!
Cue up the ‘Salvage 1’ episode.
The Leftists just keep painting themselves into corners!
“I can no longer hold my breath long enough to pull the cotter pins. “
That brings back memories.
P (momentum) = M x V
LOTS of mass....
But but but what about the ice shelf that’s already melting at insane levels?? /s
They’ve been saying this for 20 years.
Next idea please.
