I didn’t recognize the name, but as soon as I saw his face I recognized him from so many TV shows. Good actor. RIP.
To: EveningStar
Cmon, it's 1967 and you act like you've never seen a miniskirt.

I had an idea a long time ago for a coffee table book called “Characters” about great character actors. Each two pages would be pics from movies and TV roles on one side, and a bio on the other.

I remember in, I think 1964, when one of the prettiest girls in school showed up wearing a mini skirt. It really was short.
The principal immediately sent her home.

>> She also wrote my favorite Star trek episode of all time “This side of paradise” which was a huge dig at the hippy drug movement at the time, and even addiction how the real cost is wasted time. Brilliant episode.
I get the impression that was one of the things Brian Wilson was warning about on Pet Sounds in Hang Onto Your Ego/I Know There’s An Answer
I know so many people who think they can do it alone
They isolate their heads and stay in their safety zone
But what can you tell them
What can you say that won’t make them defensive
Hang on to your ego
Hang on but I know that you’re gonna lose the fight.
They come on like they’re peaceful
But inside they’re so uptight
They trip through the day and waste all their thoughts at night
But how can I say it
How can I come on when I know I’m guilty
Hang on to your ego
Hang on because I know that you’re gonna lose the fight
And how can I say it
How can I come on when I know I’m guilty
Hang on to your ego
Hang on
Hang on but I know that you’re gonna lose the fight
I don’t see the uptight people being the ones taking LSD, I see it as a reflective look at uptight people who take LSD to seek THE answers to life only to trip all day and waste their thoughts at night (any illusion of enlightenment or discovery is lost and wasted).
Drug guides of the time advised thrill seekers to surrender their egos and be born anew by the LSD experience but Brian is saying hang onto your ego and that he’s guilty of the same errors, losing your ego can be a crushing experience. It took Brian a long time to come back...

Probably more familiar in this pic, Bonnie Franklin of "One Day at a Time" fame.

I kept looking at the pictures she looked familiar but I knew the hair was wrong. Kept thinking Debbie Reynold but she was already a star by then. It was a strawberry blond though wasn’t it? I just remember this actress from her sitcom with a young Valerie Bertonelli. Right or wrong?

Well she did accomplish one thing in the short time she was at school that day. She was the topic of conversation for weeks.
Probably what she wanted.

Correct, it is indeed Bonnie Franklin who starred along with Valerie Bertinelli. Here's another future star of the same show (One Day at a Time), Pat Harrington, Jr. guesting on a separate episode of "The Munsters":
