The NFL National Anthem Debate is alive and well again cant believe it! Trump marveled on Twitter. Isnt it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart?
Trump commented on the story after the NFL released a statement putting the new rule requiring players to stand for the national anthem on hold while they continued to negotiate with the NFL Players Association.
Trump mocked NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for failing to enact a solution and proposed his own penalties for players who refused to stand for the national anthem. The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand, he wrote. First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!

Liberalism is like cancer. It creeps forward destroying the host. The daily “creeping” sometimes is hardly noticed, but it is still movement in the direction of demise. Where noted, it should be confronted, stopped by a barrier, or cut out. Being in denial of the daily creep as not important hastens the fatal outcome. Trump has to fight this incursion at EVERY sign of forward movement, big and small.
NFL fans are a hotbed of potential Trump supporters. Those that agree with the President on this are going to vote for him.
Yeah! Its not like he can multitask!
“They are calling the USA racist.”
They’re right, there are racists in the US. And I do not deny them the opportunity to display that. But, give the law facts, witnesses, locations and, times for the law to work on. You do not step on the backs of very people that gave you the “opportunity to make it right.”
I spent a lot of years being one of those they stepped on. Our, together with those that marched beside me, job was to protect the people living as citizens of this country, no matter what it took. We didn’t care what color, race, or religion they professed. And beside me was a cross section of the country.
But the real issue of theirs is that it is not being handled in the right way. Okay, you don’t like the law? Change it. Get together with other voters and make it better to handle the problem. And the first place to look is at themselves and the people they think they represent. And part of those people that are supposedly talking for are no different than those they are talking about. Some even worse. So don’t judge me because I sin differently from you.
At the moment the protesters are living in a world of history. Life thrives when going forward. They are going back and lateral. You wanna complain about treatment, go talk to someone that means something. Let the law work, and consider your blessings. And having money doesn’t mean a thing. Al Capone had money, what good was he to the US citizens? Probably no more than some of the people the players are “representing while they are turning a blind eye to.”
‘Much bigger fish to fry.’
disagree...perception is everything, and this football imbroglio is a very visible signal of the social fracture in the country, a signal to which almost anyone can relate...
‘If they hate this country so much’
it’s not hatred; it’s fear of going against the herd...sheeple mentality, the nourishment for all manner of social control elements; governments, federal and local, organized religions, brainwashing schools and the like...
‘Dying sport in the younger grades’
all sports at the lower grades are dying, due to decline in student body...football bears the brunt of the decline due to its high cost and the emerging mindset that schools should not field teams that both boys and girls cannot play...
ten years from now, look for smaller parochial schools to be the only teams playing football at a high level...
‘Let these spoiled, hate-filled wretches figure out what theyre going to do without their ridiculous paychecks. To hell with them.’
most of these players, after 2 or three years, have made enough that if they are judicious in their lifestyles, they won’t have to work again...it would only kill the rookies and the journeymen players...
‘Soccer?! What’s that?’
according to hearsay, it’s a game in which a sizeable portion of playing time is necessary to get to arrive at a very quick shootout format to determine a winner...oh, and a game in which the most flexible and creative appendages (hands) is disallowed in favor of the least flexible and creative appendages (feet)...

‘I have a hard time understanding how a league allows players to dictate how they operate’
it’s simple; they’re black...a social media wag named Fred Reed (no Trump fan, whom he calls the ‘Cockade in Chief’) penned a concise and brilliant article about the inordinate power wielded by blacks in this country relative to their population and accomplishments...he was savaged for it, but the truth hurts...
So ultimately he puts these tweets out and lets the media and the hollywood people and the athletes take the side that the majority hates. Which they very predictably do. And they lose some credibility, some likability.
Trump is trying to fight the deep state (sort of) and flip the economy back to great and end crazy regulations. AND he's trying to begin taking back the culture from anti-American radical leftists too. This is part of that last one.
“Trump has to fight this incursion at EVERY sign of forward movement, big and small.”
And so must each one of us.
