Met a couple at the hospital. The husband ended up getting his left leg amputated after a sting.
When they grow up, they are called flannel moths. They seem to like my ligustrums, crawling on my car, and the lid of my gas grill. (....Shudder....)
I grabbed one while weeding a flower bed. The only thing that helped was ice, but not much.
This one looks like a yellow Shih Tzu.
