I just don't understand why you're so afraid to simply admit Melania should have and could have handled this differently and gotten the same results without dragging the media into it.

I was once in her exact position. Years ago, there was a large corporate event at one of the plants for the company I worked for.
So many from my division were going that they chartered a jet. I was a late invite and didn’t have a seat.
I’ve never flown charter before. I was furious. I jumped up and down and berated the idiot who chartered the jet for not getting a larger one that had a seat for me.
I whined and cried so much that I eventually got my way.
Oops, sorry. That’s not at all what happened. Instead, I got online and bought an airline ticket. As I recall, I also had a rental car while the charter guys all had to ride in a bus.
She’s sure to get the “Nancy Reagan: Dragon Lady” treatment from the media now.
McMaster was/is a soldier. Bolton isn’t. Soldiers have chain of command driven into them like it’s second nature. Activists develop a habit of being accountable to themselves and doing what they want.

Just my guess but it may be in the nature of some ‘professional conservatives’ to overrate their own importance. And if they get hired by an administration to think that they are irreplaceable. Both Bannon and Bolton were making a living as activists, commentators.
Disagree. The civil servents of the executive branch serve the president. The do not make demands of the White House or its many staff.

All the more reason to support Melania in asking for her resignation.
