It's comes down to being a professional.I fired a man for taking butt shots at a Live to Tape TV show.He was a fill in Director.He didn’t know I was standing right in back of him.He said to the cameramen “Look at this”. And as his manager, it was your right to decide what standards of behavior you desire. Notice, though, that you just fired him, rather than make a public issue of it which would affect his employability in the future.
Also he was just a "fill in" director, so you didn't have an issue regarding "yes, he's occasionally obnoxious, but he gets the job done better than any replacement we're likely to get".
