IMHO, they were beating the vaccine drum too loud at yesterday’s press conference.
Mandatory antibody testing to return to work.
Here is what that will get you.
1) Hypothetically I test positive for antibodies and can return to work.
2) You test negative and remain on house arrest.
3) But you are going broke and desperately need income
4) So you go out and deliberately get yourself infected so that you’ll test positive.
5) You and 100 million of your closest friends.
6) Which renders the whole lockdown moot and stupid.
People need to think through things in terms of how actual human beings will react and not just in the abstract.
I’m actually starting to warm to this idea as it appears to be the quickest path to herd immunity.

Nope. I’m horrifed. Unless there is a miracle soon, I actually now think Trump will probably lose in November as his leadership is all over the place.
This thread just has some of the most condescending posters I have seen on FR (you really think I’m glad the economy is destroyed???) so I can’t help but rub their hypocrisy in their face as Trump has become what they decry but they will rationalize all day rather than call out their false idol.
I personally think President Trump is the best President of my lifetime but I think this was a mistake. POTUS should have known better than to listen to government experts given his previous experience with them. There is however zero doubt in my mind that he handled this better than any of the alternatives would have handled it. I am pretty certain that Hillary! or JEB! would have mucked this up even worse.
