I think Priestap flipped about 10 months ago. I heard rumors to that effect back then.
Why did Flynn agree to stuff he didn’t do or say?
The gubermint lawyers should have to pay it all out of their own pockets if they loose.
I think it’s going to look like a House of Pancakes with all the flipping these guys are going to do to try to keep their butts out of jail.
Flynn is said to have been warned that, if he refused to plead guilty, prosecutors would charge his son with a felony for failing to register with the Justice Department as a foreign agent.
They were threatening to go after Flynn, Jr. as an ‘unlicensed agent’ for Turkey. Now representing the interests of a foreign country is one of the most regular violations of federal law as the concept of ‘representing’ is rather squishy. Basically it is what a federal jury says it is. But, if you’re a Democrat, they let you quickly register and all is forgiven. Like the warning you get from a cop when your car safety inspection expired.
Now they were threatening Flynn Sr. with a Logan Act violation. Nobody has ever been convicted under the Logan Act and only 1 person was ever charged (back in 1803). It’s as dead a law as there is while still being a part of the USC Code.
All in all, it seems like Flynn rolled over rather easily after hiring a Democrat law firm (who convinced him to plead to charges). I think where this little conspiracy collapsed was when the Federal Judge started hard-@ssing the general on rulings and it suddenly looked like he was looking at prison.
Judge went too far saying he sold out his country. Traitor.
But Kerry and Biden’s son gets a pass.
Is the rope’ that Jeffrey Epstein didn’t hang himself with, now available on EBay???
Takes cojones for a judge to make that statement to an airforce Lieutenant General.
