I am inclined to believe that such homes are for Trump voters.
In the wealthy SF Bay Area suburb I passed through recently, I saw a few homes flying the flag. One, though, had the flag displayed upside down (distress). No yard signs on these houses.
Reasonable assumption, since Hillary Clinton won it in 2016.
I live in Southern Connecticut and that's my barometer as well.
I'm seeing way more homes flying American flags than is usual. I'm counting those as "silent" Trump voters. For I can't see any scenario where a Biden voter will fly an American flag and where I do see Biden signs - no American flag.
Possibly Erie, Columbia, Rockland, Nassau and Dutchess counties.
If Trump wins NY it’s over for the Dems for good I hope!
I live on Long Island too and to date I have seen exactly four Biden signs - 2 on LI and 2 while on vacation upstate a couple weeks back. Meanwhile I’ve seen more than four pickup trucks with full size Trump flags in the back...

Your reply puts me in mind of something else....
While folks can get Trump and BiteMe yard signage for free, I see Trump voters shelling out hard-earned dollars for merch they have to buy: flags, decals, car magnets, other signage, bumper stickers, etc.
The only BiteMe anything I’ve seen in NYS, PA, and VT has been the free signage and a couple of billboards.
And I have seen zero BiteMe merch. Zip, zero, nada.
Trump is off the charts with the put-yer-money-where-yer-mouth-is crowd.
I would love to see the sales figs for all Trump merch.

As I recall, the name of the album was “The Last Poets” Gill Scott-Heron. I actually had that album back in the ‘70s. Great album, I liked “Oatmeal Man” and “AUH2O” (Goldwater.)
New York State was Trump’s residence in 2016, now Florida is his declared home State in 2020.

One odd thing is while there are almost no Biden signs, we have I’d say a usual amount of signs for the local and congressional dem candidates ~ there’s signs for the dem candidate for NY-1 around a lot.
Not really sure what to make of that.
