Around 7 a.m. on Sunday, several cars were driving recklessly along Las Vegas' Hollywood Blvd toward Sahara Blvd, witnesses told police, according to KSNV News 3. The witnesses said that a passenger in a minivan was hanging halfway out of the car, attempting to strike people on the sidewalk.
The passenger missed two pedestrians, but then struck a middle-aged woman riding in the bicycle lane further down the road, according to KSNV.
"While driving down Hollywood Boulevard, they pulled along-side a female bicyclist and the passenger leaned out of the vehicle window and pushed her to the ground," a press release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department obtained by PEOPLE stated. "At the same time, the passenger fell out of the moving vehicle and struck a light pole."
Both were declared dead on the scene.
On Monday, police identified the driver as Rodrigo Cruz, 22, who "fled the scene before officers arrived and was later apprehended."

Poor lady. How awful.
Charge, convict, and execute the driver for murder.
I don’t believe a word from the driver, just because there are no light poles between the bike lane and the car lane
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m getting a little tired of the legacy of Biden/Zero/BLM/Antifa/LaRaza America.
I’ll take Trump’s America, thank you.
Sorry, I can think of one: The attacker was black or Hispanic and the victim was white. No other reason although this was not confirmed in the story.
Got tired of the ennui of Grand Theft Auto and tried some real life action!
How does that old saying go; idle hands and the Devil? Really corny and old morality, right?
I simply tell people I care about to stay out of the cities and other urbanized areas. The left purposely turned these people into monsters who will kill anyone they feel and steal anything they want.
I wonder if the cyclist was wearing a helmet. If she was, her death was a real fluke. Bad falls on bikes (as opposed to getting hit by a car) can get ugly but they usually aren’t fatal. As to the perp, good riddance and hang the guy who was driving.
“Methinks drugs and/or drink were involved, compounded by incredible natural stupidity.
And perhaps Covid-19.”
Absolutely right! BOTH will be diagnosed to have died WITH COVID.
Add them to the spike list.
“Gio”, aka Giovanni Medina Barajas, was arrested at the end of August, for assault, I think.
I bet 3 years or less...not even that if he is a criminal immigrant.
The courts are infested with SJW types.
I no longer expect justice from our justice system.
Maybe we need to do it our sel.....
Common sense. Sell the rope that hanged him into 1-inchsegments and sell them for souvenirs. That will pay for the hanging. Bring back public hangings. Criminals like this are not complicated people.
Illegals?
Recently sold my carbon fiber road bike And switched to a commuter type to ride the sidewalk because I no longer felt safe in the bike lane. Seen too many bike lane signs in the grass that had been run over (assumingly by accident). This deliberate act is a terrible waste of life.
I have been stuck behind cyclists in my car plenty of times while they peddle at two miles an hour and use their little hand signals like they are a real vehicle. Im thinking just do the speed limit ya wanker...
But never ONCE have I even thought of hurting someone on a bike. If I like it or not, they have a right to be there. My problems with them are not their problem. Impatience is my problem.
“Justice...will be...SERVED!”
Right..just like Barr and Wray do.
This happened in the NE side of town out by the Air Base. Mostly neighborhoods.
Glad I left LV in 1991 - and have never looked back. The place is now a fetid sh!thole - more than ever....
Dem voters...Illegals...probably both.
I go to Vegas quite often. Have friends there. Very picky about where we go. They both live in good neighborhoods. We stay away from the strip and downtown. We frequent Red Rock Casino, South Pointe, and the Silverton.
