My team has been interviewing people all week for high tech positions. It never even occurred to us to ask about vaccinations.
You’re kind of a jerk there John just an observation.
“I have been advised that I am genetically predisposed to adverse reactions to the vaccine and will need to wait for further studies related to my specific circumstances. However, I have also been advised that with the new CDC guidelines, this would pose no risk to others who have been vaccinated so it will not have any impact on my coworkers or employers”...
This is all true. You have been advised by medical research, studies, and common sense that your human genetics could have an adverse reaction and more studies need to be done. And you also have been advised by the news that those who are vaccinated are not at risk from those who have not yet been vaccinated.
They won't push further as that goes beyond the ILLEGAL YET SOCIALLY ACCEPTED general vaccination question.

I don’t understand. How can an un-vaxxed person cause an outbreak among the vaxxed. For that to be possible would mean the vax doesn’t work.
I am retired but work part-time at a bar (don’t absolutely need the extra income but it’s nice). I don’t want to get any of the vaccines, yet. I sincerely hope they work without serious adverse affects as a lot of my family and friends have gotten these vaccines.
My dilemma is that my fiance lives in Thailand. Thailand is pretty much closed to foreign visitors at the present time (yeah, you can go there but you have to pay for your own 15 day quarantine and once you get out not much is open). I think, at best for the forseeable future, Thailand will not require quarantine for vaccinated travelers. At some point I’m probably goinng to have to get a vaccine but I am holding out as long as I can.
No, just not that good with disingenuous requests.
Indeed.
“HIPAA is very narrow and only applies to health care workers and a couple of their direct contractors in certain situations. “
Applies to everyone. Your medical information is private and you can’t be legally forced to reveal such information.
That’s why Saint Fauci demands wearing masks after the vaccine. . .oh wait, that makes no sense either.
How dare anyone disavow YOUR right to self-identify as you see fit? Democrats do it all the time... what's good for the goose is good for the gander...
HIPAA is a very specific law and does not apply to everyone There may be other laws that apply but not HIPAA
The HIPAA protections apply to all. Your medical information is yours, not to be shared unless expressly consented in writing by you.
For example, the HIPAA release form you sign at the hospital or docs office lists only those you specifically approve to receive your medical information.
An employer can’t require your medical information, and if they ask a doc or hospital for your information, they will be laughed at.
Cheers,
they can’t ask a doc or hospital that is HIPAA. they can ask you. that is not HIPAA. a they can require you to provide vaccine information as a requirement for employment. That is not HIPAA. There is very little understanding of what is and isn’t HIPAA around here
They can ask but you are not obligated to provide and they can’t try and get that information. It has to be released by you.
true but it is not covered by HIPPA
No vaccine is 100% effective. Stop being obtuse about it. You are much more intelligent than that.
And you should stop being ignorant. What don’t you understand about the meaning of the word “experimental”? These CV injections are not vaccines. Or am I being too obtuse again?
Those guys could probably knock out a fake vaccine card without blinking.>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Exactly. Modern photocopying is amazing.
