The father has a right to be there at that time for pickup as detailed in the Parenting Plan. This was clearly a setup. Likely to collect the father’s life insurance going to his child(ren) as required by the court.
Qui Bono? Follow the money.
Setup.
I concede ignorance of Texas law, and thus, I may be mistaken in my original opinion.
He (guy with gun) said the kid wasn't there.
If the father didn't like (or believe) that answer, then he should call the police, charge the guy with gun with violating the court order, and gain complete custody of the child.
The father should not have physically attacked the guy with gun and tried to take his gun away.
Want to point me directly to what you claim? I sure have not seen any evidence supporting this claim whatsoever. Not disputing you, just have not seen this mentioned anywhere.
Child Visitation and pickup is a court order. Dates, times, and pickup procedure are all specified in the court order. This is likely why the father was agitated. He had a court order, a legal right, to be there and to pickup his child which the Ex and her ‘buddy’ did not comply with.
Again, I see no evidence of what you are saying is what is the reality. Point me to where you are getting your information. Not all parents get visitation rights for their children.
