WaWa is a gas station - convenience store setup, started in Pa., I believe, and expanded. The ones I’ve been in had deli counters and made pretty decent subs.
Their symbol is a goose in flight, and “WaWa” is a Native American word for goose.

Actually, Wawa was a dairy, started more than 100 years ago. They expanded into convenience stores for diary products, deli items, etc. There were no gas stations involved for many years. They were added later as the footprint became larger. Originally from Delaware County, PA, they are as far south as Florida.

The one I was familiar with was not too far from Annapolis, Maryland, in the mid-80s. A couple of cute girls worked there.
