I figured this one out.
Pelosi was so drunk he thought they were strippers doing one of those “raids” like they do for bachelorette parties. He opened the door and said “Come on in, guys! Join the party!”
I totally agree. SF is a small city, and the Pelosi’s are not only politically active and known, they are also socially active and known. Their house is not in a gated community, it is on a regular street in Pacific Heights. I doubt that anyone who has lived in SF long DOESN’T know which house belongs to Nancy Pelosi.
Pac Heights is a small and very exclusive district with a lot of gorgeous, old mansions. I’m sure the PD knows all the residents of Pac Heights and I’m sure the residents expect excellent service from the PD (and their private security companies). To live there, you probably need a net wealth of well over $100 million.
It’s not like the police were responding to Joe Blow in the Sunset or the Mission.
My theory: Pelosi picks up new boy toy. DePape finds out, breaks in and confronts Pelosi. Cops arrive, new guy lets them in. DePape is enraged and slugs Pelosi with the hammer.
