Most Saints were never saints either. That said, the provenance of the accusation came from the same FBI that has never allowed James Earl Ray’s supposed rifle to be ballistically tested against the bullet that killed MLK.
Pardon me if I would not be surprised to find out the FBI played a role in the killing of MLK.

I don’t doubt it. He was in a priviledged position for a long time. Fame makes you feel invulnerable.
But it’s too late to destroy the actual history and all the mythology attatched to MLK. Most people will either deny that story or look for a way to rationalize it.
i.e. “Well, how was she dressed?”
“The guy wasn’t a saint by any means.”

As a white kid had black friends since I was 5-6 years old back in the 60’s
When MLK said judge by the content of their character, not by the color of their skin, I thought DUH, who would do that??
My black friends were kind, fun to be around and liked the same cartoons and cereals I did!
Later started to see that racists existed. (Learned about the rats KKK)
MLK message was fantastic and just common sense.
He’s been dead for almost 54 years... ridiculous.

Do you believe the memory of Martin Luther King or do you believe the American Stasi (FBI).
I believe the memory of King.

I was never a fan of an Martin Luther King in any way, shape, or form. However, I didn’t hate the guy. I really do hate the FBI. I consider anything the FBI said about King to be a lie. They lie about everything else. Why would anyone believe anything they said about someone who they were clearly out to get. Maybe King was a whoremaster, I don’t know. If he was, I’d have to see evidence of it presented by someone or something credible which the FBI is not.
