As best as I can see, your problem is not with Trump, but with the party. Any time a POTUS steps into the harness, he, and some day she, faces this problem. Our representatives that go to those halls are in it for themselves and the people that put them there, the voters. So you’ve got at least a couple of hundred different needs in the purse strings and bills. And with the element of levels of commitment in the party it would be almost impossible to get a clean one way or another. And of course the POTUS has his idea of his commitment.

To be honest I feel one of the reasons Trump was so successful in his first term was that he was not part of the politicial scene so he had no real threats from the swamp. And what they did go after was outside of the political arena. Many positions held under the POTUS’s control are civilian slots. So why not put civilians in them rather than the, so call, experts that are provided to him.

I laughed at a part of the movie Dave when he brought his personal accountant into the white house to correct a need for money and the accountant recommended the erasing of programs that didn’t make sense or were not needed. I’m not laughing anymore. Sooo, why not fill the positions he can with people he trusts from his knowledge and not the people provided by those that have an agenda? A perfect place to start would be the DOJ and/or NSA. Then it would become apparent that skit rolls down hill or laterally. If they want to keep their jobs, then they have to work with people that actually have a position and want to work it. But that is why you hire the POTUS to make those decisions. Trump has been successful by doing exactly this process. I would like to see him make us successful.

Donald Trump probably had no idea who the hell Barr was before he appointed him.

And Barr was far from the worst Trump could have done. If it were up to him, Michael Cohen would have been the AG.

El Cajon, California (San Diego area), is so called because it is a box-shaped valley.

I’m glad you still have faith in voting.

All of the Executive Branch appointments which are relevant to your concerns require Senate confirmation.

The bottom line is that the GOP had no intention of allowing Trump to exercise the powers of the Presidency in 2017 and nothing has changed - if anything, matters are worse.

Correct. My problem IS with the party.

It’s not a loyal opposition, it’s the right wing of the bird the left wing is attached to.

One big club, all slopping at the same trough. Take down one, and that one can kill the entire bird. Never gonna happen.

Not sure, but I think ‘cajon’ can also be used for a gear box, as in a manual transmission auto.

Oh puh-leaze. If Trump had no idea that Barr was a Bush-bot from back in the day, then he was a bigger political neophyte than we knew.

And Barr was far from the worst Trump could have done. If it were up to him, Michael Cohen would have been the AG.

And pray tell, what position would Stormy Daniels hold?

Those who want to live as a patriot or die as a traitor..

Because until the traitors in the Swamp die, and the Deep State is obliterated, this same crap is due to happen ..

Oath works both ways.

The war is against the Deep State in Trump’s next 4 years..
Not like the Deep State’s war against Trump since 2015..

The mandate is to start killing the domestic and foreign enemies..

That’s how wars are won..

Trump has had 3 years to see who is with him, and who’s against him. I’m sure he has a list all made up by now.

He did have better choices. He should have made better choices.

Perhaps there is a reason you are not considering??

Well, Alberta's Child (post 63) suggested that Trump didn't know any better.

Boy, if that was true, then you seriously gotta wonder if Trump should even be making choices at all.

Start with Giuliani as AG and order him to clean house. As a victim of the American gestapo, he would be only too willing to get after it. Kari Lake would make a great VP, another victim of the swamp. Gen Michael Flynn as SecDef, another victim ready to raise hell. Go for it.

And you put her in charge of the VP residence broom closet. You keep her out of any serious policy meetings and keep her in the dark at all times.

Don’t make the mistake that Reagan did with Bush or Trump with Pence. You need the backstabbing establishments support to win, but then you screw’em over after the election, let them know how it feels for once.

Then fire ever US attorney, AG, agency head or appointed bureaucrat in existence. Then you give the DOJ and FBI a very public enema, you release all their dirty secrets as well as US intelligence agencies and let the so-called America loving “professionals” of these syndicates defend their actions to the public, keep them busy.

Giuliani might be too old. He’s also. reported to have a severe drinking problem. The younger Giuliani would have been perfect! Giuliani should have been AG the first time instead of that excretable Sessions! (Are we still trusting him?)

The VP should be capable of taking over from the Pres. Lake has shown no ability to be able to do that! She was what a talk show host before politics? Yes, I know she was cheated in her election for Guv. It doesn’t matter she lost & she has lost her court cases. The PR optics are bad, all the casual voters will know is she lost twice! Like it or not politics is 90% PR. Let her run for the Senate and win!

I’d rather have Flynn as DNI but maybe SecDef. I’d rather have Col West as SecDef.

Excellent observation. They are hilariously transparent. Fun to watch. They should have joined Team Meatball as Campaign advisors.Talk about putting the wrong people around ya. The Meatball didn’t choose well himself.

Now the Clowns think they can give advise to The Trump on what he should do.LOL! They got nowhere else to go.
Trump accomplished more than any president in our lifetime in one term, and they know it, and most importantly. So do we.
