“””Now, curious Americans can use a tool created by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to conduct their own research. The government agency has created an interactive map showing how the lake’s shorelines would change under various level rises.””””
If anyone wonders how our Federal Government is almost $35 TRILLION in debt, this is one reason.
Have you created an “interactive map” yet? If not, then you are no scientist.
The very first picture of the Great Lakes and a picture of them today mean nothing ,LOL
Check the math. 30 million 4500 miles is 7000/mile. If everyone went to the water they would line up shoulder to shoulder with 1.5 ft/person. Dont think so.
Anyone find an actual link to the gd map?
Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone
Oh, the lie never takes a holiday.
Truth is because or the retreat of said glaciers some land is rebounding, while others “sink” in relation to it.
Historic Graph of water levels in the Great Lakes. https://www.lre.usace.army.mil/Missions/Great-Lakes-Information/Great-Lakes-Information-2/Water-Level-Data/
If you look at the historic levels its just random noise. No upward or downward trend. As usual Climate Change bunk.
America is turning into an old 50s science fiction “B” movie. Too much recreational drug use goin’ on out there.
What’s AOC going to say in 6.77 years when the world hasn’t ended like she has predicted?
Some months ago two “climate scientists” predicted sea levels would rise by 15 feet after the big ice berg that broke off from Anartica melted. The ice berg was big no doubt about that, but then I a non scientist checked to see how many gallons of water there were in the oceans and connecting seas.
The gallons of water from the melted ice berg divided by the total number of gallons in the oceans is very very close to zero.
They always give a date that's so far into the future, that by the time it actually gets to 2050, people will have forgotten about the prediction.
And they will then do it again, picking a date 25 years into the future.
Thought half the US was to be under water back in 2012. During Trump, demwits were salivating Mar-a-Lago would be under water at any moment.
I live in Indiana. I am hoping Lake Michigan tilts back west due to a heavier population so it doesn’t flood Indiana.
/sarc LOL
Pump the excess water to California.
All that water will cause it to tip over and then what?!?
Lake Michigan is thousand of feet above sea level. The article is ridiculous.
There will soon be calls from lefties for more taxes, more regulations, more crack-downs on everyday activities to fight "climate change" - but that's the entire point, right?
If enough water is pumped into Ca. it will breakoff and sink into the Pacific.
Well here is the actual map:

Friggin morons at Newsweak can’t even include a damn link.
