The fact that it’s non meat is the main selling point of these products so I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t advertise as such. ------------------
In the case of the "GoodMeat Company" that is the opposite of what the manufacturer is saying...they advertise it as actual meat (which it is) albeit grown/cloned in a vessel. Not "veggie meat" or "soy meat" or "chemical meat", etc..

hyper processed ‘foods’ are to be shunned. imho, bad for farmers, bad for eaters, bad for our kids. That's why I wish there was a company here in the US that sold actual food, not the crap you see in the stores today.

Agree. Good for DeSantis. Lab grown meat isn’t meat. I wouldn’t feed fake meat to my cat. She’d probably hiss at me if I did. Might make good rat poison though.

Agreed. Beef is either the number one or two industry in Florida so it's obvious why this is happening.
But this is bad law. Make the fake meat companies disclose but don't take that choice away.
And please don't take the "it's unhealthy" stance because A LOT of what's in grocery stores currently is stupendously unhealthy.
