I do have these long, rambling stories, dont I? Glad you like them tho...my dad was a great storyteller, so I guess thats where I got it from

Whenever I burst into stories at home, and my son is here, he just rolls his eyes, and says, "Ma, I have heard this one, many time before"...I just say good, by the time I die you will know it by heart, and when you have children of your own someday, you will have an arsenal of true stories, to tell them...he just laughs, but he does agree, that repetition of these stories, has imprinted them on his brain...

rofl you are bad boy to tell our cap'n ridin' the WAVEs is a hoot
I just got big lecture on the topic
I teased chickita bout scrambled eggs
and was told that just cause she turns down the captain's bed doesn't mean she slips into it
no wonder our captain complained on IM just this mornin'
that he wished there was sex in his life

, you been busy, doing research when pillaging and whoring is what we do best!I do like that our two chief sluts are vying to be Head Sluttress.Let the games begin!!

You are right the habs me lad. the pillaging and whoring is the backbone of what the boyos signed on for. And these days we don't have to go too far for the whoring - it is just like shooting fish in a barrel.

But there's the problem habs my fine Canadian mountee – should I have spelt that Mountie? The spoils of war are there… without the war. Our crew are the lotus eaters over come by blissful forgetfulness and happy indolence, even Bloody with be useless to lead boarding parties now that her has been disporting himself with the ladies.

I must admit I love the Sicilians also...we have a picture of some of my hubbys Sicilians uncles from the turn of the century...my son looked at the picture, and said, gosh, they look like they belong in the Mafia

When my hubbys grandfather died, the whole funeral home, was filled with Sicilians, the old Sicilian ladies, would holler and scream whenever a new one came into the room...I guess its just an old Sicilian custom...

But the scarey part came outside of the funeral home...I was outside with my older boy, who was 3 at the time, and there were lots of mourners outside as well....

All of a sudden, a big, black, limo pulled up, and two big burly looking bodyguards jumped out...you could see their guns bulging underneath their suits...one bodyguard patrolled the street at one end, and the other bodyguard patrolled the street at the other end....then they gave the all clear signal, and a short, squat fat gent emerged from the limo....I had no idea who he was, but apparently most of the Sicilian mourners did, as they all backed up, and lowered their heads...

I asked my husband who that was, and he said it was his fathers, 'Godfather"...not Godfather as in the movie, but his godfather at his baptism in the Catholic church....I was so scared, I would not enter the funeral home until he left..

My husband said, that when his grandfather came over to America from Sicily in the 1920s, he lived in the Sicilian neighborhoods of Chicago, and knew many of the gansters, and Mafia guys...but he did not want his family to grow up and become like that, so the grandfather moved his family away from those neighborhoods and into an area where they would be free of that influence...

However, over the years, the old grandfather, altho not in crime himself, still maintained friendly relations with these people...And they understood his stand and respected it....and when he died, some of them showed their respect by attending his funeral...

I imagine you look quite chick, with orange blossoms in your hair...

heard life on WAVEs in general can be pretty much of a hoot too

Our sailorettes are called WRENS - can't do much about that - but you and habs4ever ought to get together you have a lot in common. If'n you get my drift.

I am so jealous - a 17" flat screen 'puter monitor!! I'm sure you do love it. Regarding the new TeeVee, it was pointed out to me that I had advanced nearly two decades in television technology. I was having a hard time justifying buying a new one, since the old one still worked. But, I think I'd gotten my money's worth out of the old one! How thrifty of me...

Thanks for letting us know, Westy...I just clicked onto the Eaglecam a few minutes ago, and what a great sight...two eagles perched on their nest, a clear blue sky in the background...then the one eagle turned his head, and I could see his whole noble profile...then he flew off....very exciting...

Yes, thanks, westy. I had checked in earlier and the eagles weren't there. Your skies look so pretty this morning after the rain and snow we've seen up there the past few days.
