Any Martin Guitar owners out there? I just got a new HD-028 to add to my collection.

I just got a new Martin HD-028 and love it (wanted a D42 but the HD28 is superb buy). This is my second dreadnought ( the other is a D18, circa 1978). I also own an 000-28H, to which is my favorite (cannot put it down, morning coffee and a few licks). Any Freepers want to share their thoughts?

I own a 1992 D-1. The D-1 is a D-18 copy except for the bracing and the sides which are laminated. Very loud and fine acoustic--for a cheap Martin.

I have a 1970 D35 which I bought new and "trained" properly all these years.

I more recently got a DM to take some strain off of the old guy.

I quite recently acquired a 00016TR which is a smallish "cowboy" guitar.

I have a number of other acoustics but there's nothing like a Martin!

My cousin works @ Martin. This an exact relpica of what they sold in the 30's, 40's. He told me to skip all the pearl inlay stuff and get this. To quote a great guitarist it "rings like a bell"

My favorite is my D-16GT. Love that Martin sound. It records so smooth.

I've never played a Martin, though I'd love to. I own a 35 year old Eko 12-string and an 80's Fender 6-string. I also just got a Strat. For me, guitars are like...well someone was asked about their guns and said, "I have more than I need but not as many as I want..."

I have a 1969 D-18 that I bought new, but I haven't played it in a while. Time to dig it out. Thanks for the reminder.

Here's mine!
Its a beautiful Martin HD-35. My wife got it for me when I finished grad school. What a gift! Its a lovely little model, with a clear, crisp tone. I really enjoy it. I learned soon how much a difference strings made. I had been using lights, and not been too satisfied, when I changed over to Martin Mediums. What a difference! Have a good time with your axe.
I have a feeling this one may be my last Acoustic!
