I'm back...FR seems to be behaving itself now...Had a siege at the dentist today so am sore and sleepy since it was morning appointment.....I use Net Pal and if msn or NoCharge dumps me it automatically redials the connection..Spoke to soon, takes a couple of trys to get preview window to show..

dentist is torture
msn has new habit of dumping me without it showing I've been dumped
it says I am connected
but I get ''page cannot be displayed''
and my email lets me know it is not connected
next time you get ''page cannot be displayed,'' check your email is connected
it is only test I know

When I get dumped I can hear Net Pal redialing the connection. And the little icon down by the clock changes from green to yellow as it dials....Don't have to mess with email.....

lemme explain
there is new problem with msn
it gives every indication we are still connected, cept we get page cannot be displayed
msn claims we are still connected
no icons change
but if you actually try to receive new incoming email, it will tell you you can't
so then I exit msn, and redial, and then all is well
this happens to me bout once a day, on average

Let me explain...I do NOT use msn's dialer...I use Net Pal another program..I can dial msn or NoCharge another ISP with it. I can set minimum connect speed and if I get disconnected it will automatically redial and connect me...I do not always use msn...Sometimes I use NoCharge..There is no need for me to check email to see if I am connected...

I understand what you are saying I think
your connection is not with msn like mine is
so you don't have that weird new problem I have with msn, where it says I am connected, but I am not

then I don't know what causes your problem with FR
it comes from something else

when I have my weird problem I cannot access anything on net at all
but if you can access everything else but FR, it is totally different problem

I have to think about my IM with chrissie
I am so happy on FR
but she raised serious issues
I didn't mind it when they all ganged up on me
but I don't like watching them gang up on other posters who express different views
whether or not I agree with those views
I cant imagine another political site being right for me, cause the way I see things no one does
who can I share perception with
but if being on FR means I support bullying of posters
oh what's a gal to do?
FR was once a beacon of light and truth
has it lost it totally
I have to think a lot and try to be clear
