Outside the court, Dusek may well be a "nice guy", but you know what they say about nice guys, "They finish last."

I don't know how much common sense Dusek has, but it doesn't appear to be a lot if he was willing to take this case.

If I were on that jury, considering putting a man to death, I would certainly consider these facts:

Entomologist hired by prosecuter, yet called by defense.

Lack of testimony of Barb Easton for the prosecution(who was at the home that night...they called the rest of the pizza people).

Lack of DW's dna, hair, prints, etc. in the VD home (while there are unidentified prints in the home).

Lack of evidence of Danielle in DW's SUV.

Character witnesses for DW, as opposed to the lying pizza group.

Porn being surfed while DW is being questioned.

Shell casing

Viagra Pill

BVD's nervousness with Barb around Danielle...BVD was not nervous about Danielle being around DW at the cookie sale.

Dope smoking having to be dragged out of the VD's after 17+ hours of their daughter missing.

"Swapping" having to be dragged out of the VD's after 17+ hours of their daughter missing.

Dumping of body at Dehasa road vs. the desert.

People coming over to house at 2:00am to "eat pizza"...c'mon go ahead and say it...nightcap, a drink, c'mon, no one had any liquor after being out drinking all night. More likely, coke, and that's why they won't admit "anything". I'll bet coke after a viagra will have you ready to "hook up" with anything, even layla.

Inviting strangers back to your house to "party".

Having lock reversed on the garage door, so people would not smoke inside, yet DVD thinks the slider is left open because people were smoking in the kitchen.

Bill Libby trip "story"...why doesn't dusek have him verify DVD's "story. Afraid of FELDMANIZATION?

Anyway, putting a man to death is pretty final. Unless the jury is made up of fools, which it may well be, I see "reasonable doubt" ALL OVER THIS CASE.

Dusek should have considered the lesser charge, IMO.

Yeah, you're right. Which sends me back to the rumor that the DA has wanted to find a way to fire Dusek. Realizing he will not be able to win this case. (Too many holes must have been seen by the DA, when looking at the facts.)

The other thing that would bother me is the cop that was called to testify regarding Keith Stone did not get to speak, the jury definitely saw that.

I've been reading the PH transcripts tonight and amazed at the things I never noticed before. Especially, the things Feldman asks in redirect of PDvD. March 14:PM . The last day of testimony and I think that was March 14.

Hate to beat a dead horse, but Goff sure changed his tune:
From a March 2000 lecture at Chico State:

Goff explained that both the type of insect on the body and its current developmental stage allow entomologists to determine an accurate time of death. The Blow fly is the first to appear, about ten minutes following death. The bug enters openings in the head, then the genitals and anus. The fly lays about 200 eggs and starts its biological cycle.
"When the insects go into the body, we look at those with the most advanced development," Goff said. "Then we work backward to measure the time of death."
The results are almost fool-proof. Goff presented a slide of a young air force cadet who had been raped, stabbed seventeen times, then slit across the throat. The boy's face was a black mask of maggots. Goff's team detected three species of flies, which told them the victim had been dead for three-and-a-half days with the time of death between 10 p.m. and midnight. Goff phoned the base where the boy was stationed to share the news. At the same time, there was another phone call. It was one of the boy's attackers, confessing to a crime that occurred at 10:30 p.m. three-and-a-half days prior.

Hi barlf: LONG GREEN FIBER

I finally figured out where the green fiber came from...
I was just reading over Shen's testimony.. June 25

Q: These items were collected; the long green fiber, the long green fibers, et cetera, as well as item 5 collected from victim's clothes, is that right?
A: YES
Q: You did not find long green fibers in Danielle's environment, did you? A: I DID. I found numerous long green fibers in Danielle's but I did not find consistent with those long green fibers that were taken from Danielle's environment.

It seems they are talking about two different types of green fibers here, one type longer or shorter than the other.

An added note: They found on her body Blue Emerald Green fibers, Brilliant Emerald Green,Bright Green-long acrylic,Bright Red-long acrylic, Bright Red-Rayon, Medium Blue -delustered Nylon: Also --Purple, Blue,gray-blue, white-gray.

Anyway, According to Shen she collected some green fiber from Danielle's clothes, I suppose clothes from her room. But, according to Shen these green fibers were different than the fibers found on her body. This Is Odd...

So the long green fibers were taken from Danielle's room? I have great difficulty understanding all the fiber testimony. Seems these people don't give clear testimony. Hard to understand exactly what they mean. I hope the jury understands better than me!

At first I thought he was trying to get an extra night away from Brenda, but what would he do with his son on the extra night? Maybe he had arranged for the boy to spend Fri night with Libby's son but when that fell through, he was stuck at home with the three kids and a date elsewhere. Maybe he ran out Fri night to make ammends to his date ( DW was at the bar at this point) and when he came home Danielle saw him come in and he lost his temper. We know that Sat morning everything fell apart and no one went to the cabin. Or do we????

I just re-read the PH transcripts you were talking about. I am amazed. I thought Damon got up at 3:30am to let the dog out. Guess I was wrong. Also, I didn't remember Barb kissing on him after they got out of bed! My favorite is HE decided when LE had enough evidence out of his house! Why the LE cleared these people so fast is the biggest mystery. IMO!!
