Now that is pretty darn cool, even if it was done by Mel Gobson and a bunch of Scottish blue-faces.

Dang!
He really needs to defrag that hard drive on the lower right corner. Look how badly fragmented it is.

If you stand on your head (or turn your monitor upside down) the alien head looks like a boxing Taco Bell dog.
To: dennisw
I wonder if Bush knew about this and when. Aliens destroying our crops and starving the children! This would not have happened had Clinton still been in office.... < /I am insane tag>
To: Vladiator
One freeper said this is an alien flashing his intergalactic credit card.

He really needs to defrag that hard drive on the lower right corner.LOL! (and thanks for that reminder to defrag ;-)
Actually I wonder what that says. It is probably in binary or some other mathmatical code. I should be examined from inside-out, outside-in, clockwise, counter-clockwise, binary, hex, morse, etc.
To: StriperSniper
Actually, I found this picture a few days ago - did some decoding on it, trying random mathematical algorithms. It's actually a text message that's been run through ROT13, then encoded into binary. It says:
IF YOU CAN READ THIS, YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS
To: StriperSniper
Actually I wonder what that says.It says "All your bases belong to us!"

I thought it looked like a pie the alien was holding. The message being we were getting ready to get an inter-galactic pie in the face!

An alien face as well as an answer to the 1972 message sent to them from Arecibo, were recieved on a lawn directly at the observatory in England last summer, in Aug, they wanted to make sure there was no chance it would be missed.

>Calling Art Bell!
Coast to Coast with George Noury has become a parody of itself. Yes they are all over this, examining every angle except one: that some guys did this to promote the UK opening of the movie "Signs."
When discussing the recent loss of the comet spacecraft, George Noury wondered if it was shot down by aliens? Even uber-conspiratorialist Lind Molten Howell panned that suggestion. It was funny they way George addressed the alien theory- without any conviction or interest, pure deadpan, as if he was reading a script on "How to do the Art Bell Show."
Coast to Coast has truly become a parody of itself.
I'm always nervous when the Art Bell show tries to spice up some comet related science story with BS. How many people died the last time he did that?
To: StriperSniper
Friend of mine says that he ran the message through in the opposite direction of what I did, and he came up with:
"Own a computer? Want to work from home? You can make over $65,000 a month with your computer and an internet connection!"

That is the Arecibo chip, altered in order to give their response in the same code we "sent" to them over 28 yrs earlier. Does this suggest they are some 14 light years away, or did it take them awhile to gear up to do this? Suspect the former.
In this same field with the chip is the alien face. Or perhaps I should say, the face sent to us BY the aliens, since that one looks like a human being, and this one this year looks like the classic Strieber alien.

From Streiber's web site:
....... And crop formations in the U.K. are getting more explicit, with the newest showing what looks like an alien profile alongside a computer disk. The farmer who owns the field in Idaho says, "We first thought somebody was playing a prank," but he then decided the circles and the patterns were too perfect to be a joke. Researcher Alan Meyer visited the circle and saw mysterious orbs hovering above it, along with several other witnesses. The farmer's daughter says, "My Uncle Lewis was irrigating Saturday morning and came up over the hill and saw the crop circles." Thousands of people have driven by to look at them. "There was a lady who just happened to be by
she studied [circles] three years in England, she says. The way they were pushed, no damage to the crop, just laying down
she pointed out that it was not man made. She said it would probably be back, she didn't say when but probably back in the same place.
Her father adds, "Maybe we'd be looking forward to it, even charge admission.
Alan Meyer, who has been interviewed on Dreamland about his photographs and videos of ghostly orbs, visited the Idaho circle, which is about 200 miles north of his home. He writes, Yesterday, Heather Johnson and I spent an afternoon and evening at the location. The farmer who owns the land gave us a private tour and we got some very interesting stills and video. The place was literally swarming with orbs
I have nightshot video of a possible UFO or mystery light hovering for several minutes above the farmer's machine shop at the edge of the site. This was witnessed by the farmer, his teenaged children, Heather and, of course, me. The light/UFO eventually faded, but as we left the field, the sense of being watched was even more intense than during the sighting.
Two years ago, Linda Howe and other crop circle researchers saw orbs hovering above a crop circle in England. Read all about it in Mysterious Lights and Crop Circles, click here.

The aliens, seen in their saucers causing the formations, have been such a problem in Greece in those little terraced fields this summer, they take up the whole field in such a mountainous land where the fields are so small, the farmers are complaining and looking for someone to sue.
I tell you, aliens are getting out of hand, we now see the saucers several times a year.

BTW if anyone wants to look at more on these topics, Whitley STRIEBER [careful, now, don't misspell it, or the computer won't know what to do] [I before E, except after C, or when sounded like AY, as in Neighbor and Weigh.]
Or under Linda Moulton Howe. Crop Circles.com etc. Linda is also an expert on cattle mutilations.

Is the circular object depicted the "record" that Carl Sagan had attached to the Voyager? Are they saying, "Message Received" or are they saying, "Hey, this ain't no DVD and we threw away our older hardware. You 8 track bozos!"

I heard the guys that "invented" crop circles (i.e. the original pranksters) decided to inflate rubber gloves with helium and stuffed a couple glow sticks inside to give it some ballast. All the "witnesses" say they saw strange, glowing orbs floating in the dark near where the crop circles were formed. The hoaxters really are a clever bunch...

The circular object appears to be a spiral that winds outward from the center in the counter-clockwise direction. The coding looks like "longs" and "shorts" ... "dots and dashes" or "ones and zeros". Know of any attempt to decode that record?

I was looking at the image of the circular device, and I realized the topography of the disk like object was remarkably similar to a music box disc that my daughter has.
So I went and looked through her closet to find it, and remarkably, the pattern of raised and lowered areas coincides with the music box disk that plays the Barney Theme Song.
Now the aliens really frighten me.
To: dennisw
To me, it doesn't really matter if it's hoaxed or not. It is absolutely brilliant, whoever made it. My instinct is that these are man made, whether by hoaxsters on the ground, or by some more high-tech method from above.
I would be convinced it was aliens if they put the solution to some math problem that no human has solved, or the scientific formula for anti-gravity or something like that. Until you can prove that it was NOT done by humans, we must assume that it WAS done by humans.
Still, it's nice artwork.

This raw satellite image just in from western Nigeria.
Six pig farmers there admit to spending an entire night stamping this image of one of their favorite Americans in the one substance pig farmers everywhere have in great abundance.
Washington, DC is also a major production point for this material.
Not exactly a crop circle.
More of a crap circle.
