This show also presented the standard JFK hagiography, i.e., St. John of Kennedy was killed by rascally CIA/ARMY Plotters who feared his withdrawal from Vietnam ..blah blah blah.

After all these years it amazes me that no one on the left can face the fact that KENNEDY of Holy Memory is the jerk that turned our low-key support of an ally into a full-fledged American War in Vietnam. Eisenhower warned him against it. MacArthur warned against it. Nevertheless, within weeks of taking office, St. John had 16,000 Marines going in, to replace Eisenhower's low-key advisors and very hush-hush off-the-record covert ops.

The Kennedy jerk placed this country in danger on many an occasion through sheer laziness, inertia, and bravado. His legislative record in the House and Senate was a joke. He was an anti-civil rights stalwart. This left-wing idol has "feet of clay" right up to the hairdo. The media has changed the facts of history to make this man, who ranks right down there with Bill Clinton, an American Hero. It is the triumph of hosshit over reason.

I know who killed St. John of Kennedy. It was Joe Dimaggio. He was doubtless ticked off at what JFK and RFK did to Marilyn Monroe.

I've seen it. IMHO Lyndon Johnson was behind it; contracted with the Corsican mafia to do the hit.

No single gunman; there was a shooter on the "grassy knoll".

I've always wondered if the Kennedy hit was a conspiracy effort by several cuckolded men...

Pick up a copy of Executive Action, directed by David Miller in 1973. There is a montage at the end showing all of the people that met untimely deaths in the months after the assassination. I never believed Oswald acted alone, anymore than I believed the 'Magic Bullet' theory of Specter or the 'finding' of the 'pristine bullet' on the stretcher.
This independently produced political thriller was the first film to directly address the John F. Kennedy assassination and the possibility of a conspiracy. Three leaders of the military industrial complex (played by Robert Ryan, Burt Lancaster and Will Geer) plot to kill the President. Much of the story is told using archive newsreel footage.

That said, I don't believe we will ever know all of the truth, but the Warren Commission was the start of my belief in the Constitution and it's restrictions on government.
"Ah consensus … the process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values and policies in search of something in which no one believes, but to which no one objects; the process of avoiding the very issues that have to be solved, merely because you cannot get agreement on the way ahead. What great cause would have been fought and won under the banner 'I stand for consensus'?"

Kennedy, like all politicians, was a jerk.
You're a jerk to imply that the story of his killing "is the triumph of hosshit over reason."

It was the real beginning of the end of our republic.

We ain’t ever going to know for sure what happened. I do think however the interesting question is who was Oswald? He was allowed to defect to the Soviet Union. He was then allowed to renounce his defection, and come back to the states. All of this taking place at the height of the cold war. There is no doubt he had some sort of Intel connection, but whose side was he on? When he was arrested all his responses were those of someone with training. He could have been a very low level sleeper that they had not much use for, who happened to be working at the depository. When whoever it was decided to kill Kennedy, they included him in the operation. Patsy, co-conspirator, or whatever, I’ll never be convinced that one shot didn’t come from the front.

I never really thought that till I finished all three of Robert Caro's books on LBJ. Nothing stops him, and there would be no way for LBJ to become president with JFK in power.

Some of our countries most respected and well known forensic pathologists have called the single bullet theory as well as the autopsy report on Kennedy pure hogwash. Cyril Wecht, Henry Lee as well as Michael Baden have all said at one time or another Kennedy's death could not have resulted as the Warren Commission report claims it did.

Considering the high standing these three men have, and the amount of cases they have contributed to, I put much more credence in their conclusions then just about anything else.

Henry Lee and Baden testified for O.J. Simpson. Their theories were bull#**#. After the trial was over, Lee said he found the victims blood in Simpsoms' shower and on a back door doorknob at his house. A little too late to help the cause of truth. Baden said the stabbing of Goldman had to take 15 minutes to do. Do you realize how many times you can stab someone in 15 minutes. Thousands of times. Goldman was not stabbed that many times. He was obviously wrong or lying. Lees' and Badens' credibility is worth s***!

'Magic Bullet' theory of Specter

The fact that Spector states it is reason enough for me to disbelieve it. If he told me the sun was shining I'd lokk out the window to verify. Spector is puredee evil.

Tell that to the hundreds of people in prison right now because of the forensic work of Baden and Lee. As for Baden commenting on Simpson, do you have a link for that? As far as I can remember, Baden didn't testify in his trial.

Lee, I fully admit screwed up the OJ case, him and a host of others.

Well Tom, you're on the money. The media version of the story always makes me act like a jerk.

Trust me, I am as anxious as the next guy to learn who shot whom, and why. However, I do truly resent this media tendency to couple the search for truth with the never-ending story of the sainthood of JFK. It's as if the media and the left are trying to make jerks of everyone by altering the facts of a failed presidency.

We part historical company with your thought that JFK's demise was the "beginning of the end." For me, his fraudulent election was at least one "beginning of the end" for the Republic.

Goldwater was the last honest Republican conservative in my book. At his defeat, the party was taken over by 'win at any price' nixonians, and has never looked back. We have a rinocrat duopoly system running this country for the benefit of big government & big business.
Ike warned us, - and nobody listened.
