Well, I noticed that they changed the packaging a few years ago, gave her a new 'do and pearl earrings so that she looks like "Ms. Jemima" upscale professional buppie.

Make your own pancake mix: it turns out better than the packaged stuff. I have just learned how to make batter for Kaiserschmarren: eggs, sugar, milk, melted butter, flour, vanilla extract. Beat the mixture up, and fry in butter. Mmmm! Especially with the fruit sauce and confectioner's sugar topping that is added for Kaiserschmarren.

Better get rid of WHITE milk, bread, rice, flour, etc. That offends the caucasians..... SHEESH! How about Italian food, Mexican restaurants, Greek festivals, German Octoberfest....??????

I always make it homemade. Easy as with the mix, and MUCH better. The mixes are TOO SALTY for me. I add extra sugar, and a dash of vanilla! YUM

Same company - what I found funny was seeing Quaker Grits and Aunt Jemima Grits (blue & red boxes, otherwise identical packaging) right next to each other in the grocery stores when I moved down here.

Black bean soup, Little Caesers pizza, Redman chew, french, italian, russian dressing, polish sausage, white bread, canadian bacon, mexican jumping beans....the list goes on. A lot of our foods are tied directly to their ethnic origins. I guess we'll eventually be reduced to the basic soylent food groups!
