The Angels just clinched the AL Championship and are on the way to the World Series for the first time in 42 years. As a long time Halo fan, I have a tough quandry, I am itching to riot and loot somewhere, but I am looking for quality merchandise. Should I loot Good Guys or Curcuit City for the best electronic products? Thank you.

Why don't you go to a mercedes dealer and flip over a few cars. You might get more of a thrill than just ripping off some laptops. Or, better yet - steal a mercedes and drive it thru the window of circuit city.

Since I got hosed last week by CC's pathetic extended warranty on a big-screen TV.......you can seek vengeance on my behalf.

Creative. Cool.
Thread moved to chat. The moderator is obviously a Twins fan.

I had a horrible computer buying attempt at Best Buy and CC does suck too. I was thinking of Fry's but their looting policy is very oppressive (what else is new).

What does it mean when a thread is moved to chat? How do you find the chat threads?
To: socal_parrot
I hear the local police dept. has the best resolution TV's, plus I hear they are a pushover if you oink a few times in front of them.

"Chat" threads are under "General Interest" on the list of forums (er, fora).
To: looney tune
Chat=General Interest. When a thread moves to the General Interest forum, a message appears that says "Thread moved to chat". General Interest (chat) has been called the dustbin of Free Republic.

With the Angels winning, believe me, the Monkey is shocked!

General Interest (chat) has been called the dustbin of Free Republic. Some good people post to chat section though. Beats the Dungeon section.

Some good people post to chat I agree. The dustbin reference was made by some poster who was slamming chat. I think some of the most creative threads are on chat. They just tend to get lost like this one, which was all in fun and deserves to get lost.

I think BestBuy is selling
Alienware Computers via mail order. They are pretty awesome.....

You are hereby allowed to loot CC in the amount of $150.00 U.S.
Been trying to get that rebate check (my latest computer)for the last ten months.
Oh, I forgot...Get yourself a nice 27" stereo TV. They never returned mine when I sent it in for a warranty repair.
Are they all crooks?

OK, since I am in a hotel in Houston (I really wanted to loot the Best Buy in Yorba Linda), I decided to loot the mini-bar!! When that runs out, it is onto the gift shop!!! I think I will need a lot of those $10.00 aspirin tomorrow.
Go Angels!!!!
