Merry Christmas, everyone. Wishing everyone Happiness and Peace of Mind and Heart. (the greatest gifts of all IMHO)

Santa came!!!!
It was bedlam last night...we exchange all the children's gifts on Christmas Eve. Sooo many presents, but the kids were all especially good for some reason...maybe had to do with the Big Guy coming at midnight? The 3-yr-old, upon opening some cool gift like a Zoid or Power Ranger, said "WOW...I used to want one of these!". Too cute.
Merry Christmas to all my precious Guilders! Love y'all, Bless your hearts.

Merry Christmas, amigas (y amigos, JL). I hope all the little ones in your families are having an especially wonderful day.
We never got our eight inches of snow overnight, just rain, but there's still the possibility of fluffy white stuff later today.

A Christmas present from the president?
White House officials are urging the president to propose cutting taxes on shareholders' corporate dividends by about half, according to administration officials and Republicans close to the Bush administration. full story

Good job Grandparenets - that's what all the presents are about - seeing a sweet little face light up with wonder.

I take this Grandparenting thing quite seriously. I was able to provide some of the high dollar items my farming sons couldn't swing this year.
Little Gracie Jo kept exclaiming,,"..... it's for me,,, it's for me". What a thrill to watch the joyfullness in their eyes.
And I had to surpress a snort at the dinner table,, as we began our prayer, recited little Gabriel as we made the sign of the cross: "In the name of the Father, son, mommy, sister".
What a thrill to see the next generation coming on. Sarah requested to return to Granny's house, without all the 'little kids'. She knows I have some special paints awaiting a visit from her.

My mother's parents were as poor as church-mice fiscally - but their home was always filled with grandkids, nephews, nieces, brothers, sisters - everyone wanted to be with them for all the loving kindness that they gave to one and all. For many of us, there will never be any better memory than being at our grandparents' farm for the holidays. Or any other day for that matter. ;-)

When you fill a home with love, nothing else matters much.

Good Morning. The coffee pot is almost empty, I've been up awhile, and am contemplating curling up on the couch for a nap.
HLL: I got my Bare Essentials catalog on Tuesday, but no video. I will call in my order after consultation with you via freepmail.
No snow here, just dormant brown.
Wakey, Wakey, Guildsters. It's time to take on the day.

Good morning everyone - that nap idea has appeal already. ;-)

Good Morning IG and all! I wasn't able to get on the computer yesterday (it was acting up) so I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas!!
We went to Grandpa's house yesterday and didn't get back until late, then I fell asleep. Mr. B's niece was there and looking very good! She's such a trooper, riding in the car for almost 2 1/2 hours to see us.
IG, your story of the grandkids made me miss mine more than ever. So much fun to watch their little faces light up with glee when they see the goodies. Our son's face was fun to watch as he walked into the living room and saw his new amplifier. (It's huge!) But then, when he opened his new 7 string guitar was when the real surprize happened, he really wasn't expecting that. hehehe!
I hope everyone had a wonderful day!

You won't get a video from QVC, I will have to make one for you. I can try to dub my video from the infomercial or tape one of Leslie's segments from QVC.
Happy Boxing Day!!!!
Today is the day of sales, but for some unknown reason, I have no desire to go out and fight the crowds just to save ten bucks on a DVD player.

I'm so excited! I'm talking to you on my new cell phone (with the cool secret service headset) phone and typing with two hands!! wooooooo hoooooooo!
I have finally reached the 21st century!

No Sales for me today, either. Out of necessity, I was forced to fight the shopping crowd on Monday,,, no way I'm going to do that voluntarily.

First lady Laura Bush shows off the White House Christmas tree, an 18-foot Noble fir from Washington state, in the Blue Room, Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, as she gives a tour of the White House Christmas decorations. The presents were being kept secret by the first lady's staff. Even the menu for Christmas dinner was still mostly undecided several days out. (AP Photo/Ron Edmonds/File)

It looks like JFK is scared to touch Mrs. Heinz. Who needs algore with these two in the 2004 elelction? It should be fun.
