I have about had it with all the attacks on Christmas, Christmas Trees, Nativity Scenes, Christmas Carols on and on.
Do you think we could get them to shut up if we gave Atheists their own day to raise their self esteem. Maybe with their own day they won't be so offended that there are Christians that hold December 25th precious.
Give them February 11. It doesn't seem to belong to anyone else.
They can give each other bags of hot air.
They can have a meal of grouse, sour grapes and toast each other with pickle juice.
They can sit in the dark singing nothing and feel grim and smug while being alone in the universe.
More shameless atheist-bashing on FR. No surprise here.
Maybe I'll start a Christian-bashing topic, based upon an assertion that all Christians are like the screeching twits who have openly stated that they would like to see non-believers jailed.
"An atheist is someone who hopes the Lord will do nothing to disturb his disbelief."
-Franklin P. Jones
They'd never go for it. They have too much fun harassing those who want to celebrate Christmas. (Why is it you never hear them complain about those who celebrate other holidays in December?) Someday they will probably use 12/25 as a day to celebrate the death of Christians....perhaps even exchanging gifts.....hhhmmmm, this is starting to sound all too predictable.....
I think we should move Christmas to say the second Sunday of Feb. or March.
Celebrate it quietly, small gifts. Bring back a person's birthday.
Let them have Dec. 25. Let's see how the merchants like that.
I guarantee we would only have to do it one year.
Give the PC crowd their own 'holiday tree.
Eight branches, crescent moon on top and decorated with pentagrams.
That should just about cover everyone.
I like it...please build on it so I can post it, with your permission, on a European forum that I am active with.
That's my parents' anniversary. They can't have it.
Happy winter solstice to all and to all a good night.
Don't they already got one?
Sounds good to me! It's been suggested by some that Jesus' birth could have been in early fall, around the time of the Jewish festival of Sukkot. I could do without all this dark and cold stuff!
Main Entry: athe·ist
: one who believes that there is no deity
Main Entry: ag·nos·tic
Pronunciation: ag-'näs-tik, &g-
: one who is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a god
99 percent of atheists don't seem to have any problem with Christmas. It's that vocal one percent that are causing all the problems.
This year I'm wishing all the atheists a 'Merry Christmas' and all the believers a 'Happy Shopping Season'! That'll learn 'em!
I'm sure you have an observation of your own to make.
