Exclusive: US Representative Tom Tancredo in Response to U.S. Nuke Threat: We Could Nuke Mecca 15 July 2005: He is a no-nonsense House Representative from Colorado, a staunch critic of the federal government's lax immigration and border enforcement policies, and one who recognizes the clear and present threat posed by Islamic terrorists inside the United States. In an exclusive interview today with Pat Campbell, host of AM 540 WFLA said yesterday he would request a briefing from the Justice Department on information it has on plans revealed by WND this week for a nuclear attack on the U.S. by al-Qaeda. Responding to a question by Mr. Campbell about our possible response to such a threat, Representative Tancredo said that there are things that could be done to pre-empt a threat, and in response to an attack as well. One response would be to take out one of their holy cities with a nuclear bomb if it was clearly proven Islamic terrorists were behind such an attack. If practitioners of the Religion of Peace did set off a nuclear bomb in the US, thus destroying one of our major cities and killing millions, why shouldn't we then respond in such a way?
If that ever happens, then we would be in a whole other level of nightmare, and a response in kind would be legitimate.

Wow this is an unfortunate statement, if true. There's no strategic benefit to "nuking Mecca". I would rather he said something about overthrowing Iran or the Saudis.

Sounds good to me. Sooner or later we will have to deal with all Muslims as an enemy instead of this PC garbage about how not all Muslims are bad. The bombings in London proved once again that there are no "Moderate" Muslims.

Who need nukes when we've got him? Imagine what would happen if we dropped Congressman Tancredo on Mecca. From 40,000 feet without a parachute.
Perhaps it's time we replaced Karl Rove with a person who isn't trying to erase the borders of America.
Do you really think Al Qaeda cares about a responding attack? We don't need to be giving them propaganda and justification to launch a "pre-emptory" strike on the U.S.
Why? If they set off so much as a dirty bomb in our country, Mecca should be fair game. We know the source of the hatred, and it comes from the mosques. Who do the imams answer to? Mecca.
These Tancredo threads certainly show who the "moderates" are. They're the ones who immediately adopt the liberal tactic of name calling.
I guess the only moderate response would be to try and understand the muslims.

Please keep in mind that I believe that Bush said "All" options are on the table if they use WMD, and he even said again he would not limit our military in it's options to protect our troops and country.

If we are unwilling to target at the same level of collateral damage as the Islamofacists, then they will by default defeat us.
If however President Bush were to come forward, and simply state. "Enough is enough. We will not tolerate threats against American cities. If any attack occurs on American soil, our list of targets is as follows.
1. Nuclear attack of suspected Bin-Laden Hideout.
2. Next, key cities known to be hot-beds of Islamofacists.
3. Highly visible targets, of public knowledge. (Holy Sites)
You need to read the koran where dear ol allah itself claims that if mecca was ever destroyed, it would prove islam to be false, ergo, no more islam.
While I do not want anyone/anything nuked, I would love to see mecca destroyed.

Wouldn't a better strategy to stop terrorism in its tracks be to ban the importation of oil from any ME country that refuses to clamp down on terrorists or who funds terrorists?
Sure it would be costly, but at least we wouldn't have to kill a bunch of innocents, both in the target country, and everyone downwind (nukes aren't exactly clean).
I'd rather pay higher prices at the pump while encouraging domestic production and let the terrorist-sponsors go back to living in the 12th century financially to match their 12th century philosophy.
