Oy oy oy...he owes someone big time...I don't care if it's squeaky clean RIGHT NOW...this opens up a whole can a worms that is just not necessary. And it's not what our side needs right now going into mid-term elections. This might be the thing that brings him down...and I'll be right there fighting him...

Dubai allows for women to dress as they wish and allows for Christians to worship as they please. They have BARS and NIGHTCLUBS that serve alcohol! You can buy the finest wine and food there. Great golfing too.

O, thank G-d! I thought for a second that a deeply-Islamic country running American ports might pose a threat to National Security, but was MY mind eased when I heard they have a Hard Rock Cafe chain!!!!

No he won't. Bush won't veto anything.

Does he even know how?

Tiger Woods beat Ernie Els there a couple of weeks ago.

Bush is showing his true colors - he is against America defending itself from foreign invaders.

I don't like this deal as much as anyone....but this comment can't go unanswered.

Say what you want about Bush but to say he doesn't care about defending this country is an OUTRAGEOUS charge.

Oman is nearly as bad as Saudi Arabia.

Dubai is the most liberal, both socially and economically, followed by Qatar and Bahrain. Its a pretty cool place to visit.

The Dubai company has a huge economic stake in keeping things kosher ie 6.2 billion dollar investment.

Some may think it offensive to include "Dubai" and "kosher" in the same sentence.

Good point. UAE is a fairly open country for the area.

Just wish it didn't look so odd now.

He believes in this. There has to be a reason, something broader that is not known.

What, like the same reason he's against securing the border? If this story is true then I'm demanding a search of his head for 6's.

I have friends from Dubai & they are wonderful people.
They call themselves "bad muslims" as they don't really practice their religion....a bit like many catholics I know.

Budh may be correct about the deal being safe. But, it looks extremely bad to everyone else.

Sometimes just the look of impropriety is enough. This is a President who does NOTHING about illegal immigration, now sells our PORTS to out enemies...I'm sorry, this is the perverbial straw...I've had it with this guy.

"The Republican Party learned a long time ago to stop asking me for money. Nor do I work for their candidates, or support them in any way. My decision, some time ago, has been vindicated over and over again."

You too? Now if they would just stop calling me...

Bush has gone off his rocker on this one. I urge all Republicans to separate themselves from the president on this issue.I fear this decision will cost us the control of Congress. The Dumcrats are salivating. Bush has thrown his party into the fire. I have lost all respect for him.Now he really is acting like a chimp.
