Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., will be in town Oct. 22 to go over the details at the Greater Bristol Chamber of Commerce's Egg & Issues breakfast. Dodd, who had to cancel a similar engagement here a couple of weeks ago because of the financial/credit crisis confronting Congress, was a major player in forging the final measure as chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, The breakfast will be Oct. 22 at 8 a.m. at Nuchie's Restaurant in Forestville. There is a fee to attend. For details, call Crista at the chamber at (860) 584-4718.
“Good Senator” = oxymoron.
Show up with mock pitchforks and torches.
My fear is the situation would devolve into what occured when Rostenkowski “reformed SSI” and senior citizens had a word with him as he tried to get in his car. It was not pretty. Seniors jumping on the hood of his car like it was a Mosh-Pit....
Amazing guy, this Chris Dodd. His father was dirty and he was going to be the white knight and save the family name.
And he has besmirched that name for all eternity. He took his father’s penchant for a few favors to the next level times ten. And he managed to damage the entire country in the process. What a legacy.
Ping.
