IMO Lame Cherry’s blog is unreliable and the Lame Cherry piece on “Anna Chin” has no verifiable basis in fact with no sources or witnesses for any of it offered. It reads like an Onion satire to me.
Right, she introduced herself as Stanley to her classmates, according to Susan Blake. Susan Blake used the nickname 'Stanny' for Stanley Ann Dunham, Maxine Box was referred to as Max, and Susan's nickname was Botke. (Her surname was Botkin.)
PS: How does one get into the address book for 1961-1962 if you show up in Aug of 1961?

Thanks for the input. I only came upon the site yesterday so I’m trying to get up to speed. I read a post in which a white guy mercilessly beating an innocent black guy was referred to as ‘negroid fun’. I kept looking for the sarc or satire tag/indicator, but couldn’t find one. That’s why I’m asking anyone who knows more about the site than I do to fill me in. Again, I appreciate your input; thanks.
Disclaimer re: my prior post. I was horrified by the vignette I read on LameCherry. There is nothing fun, re: of race, in any person mercilessly beating another person, especially if the second person has done nothing wrong. After I posted what I saw on the Cherry site, I wondered if it was the right thing to do. Even repeating something like that could be seen as racist. So again, let me say I was aghast at the reference, and possibly shouldn’t even have described it here. Fwiw.

Beckwith, who runs it, is not so committed to any one, narrow theory as to skew his POV. He just wants to get the truth out there, & he’ll take good info wherever he can find it. The document was clearly authenticated. It’s been around for so long, Polarik had it and it was he who put the little red boxes on it.

The U of WA transcript places Stanley Ann at the university that school year and at the address in Polk, and Mary Toutonghi said it was Stanley Ann and Baby Barry that were at the same address with her. IMO there is some variability in the year dates of the Polk editions and the gathering and printing of the data.
Any claim that there was a different person named Anna Obama with a different baby at that address in a different year (a year earlier) has no basis in the documents or any support from witnesses on the record that I have seen so far. A hearsay misremembered memory of the age of Mary’s baby by Mary 50 years after the fact cannot stand against the evidence supporting Stanley Ann and Barry being in WA in early 1962 in that apartment.
