Forget about the birthers, and the nutty claims that Barack Obama was not born in the United States.More and more, we are hearing from people who might best be described as anti-birthers. Their claims have nothing to do with long- versus short-form Hawaiian birth certificates. Instead, they advance a simple proposition: that the birth of each additional American child is a kind of calamity for the environment.
The most recent example of anti-birth thinking comes from Paul Murtaugh and Michael Schlax of Oregon State University. In a study called Reproduction and the carbon legacies of individuals, they suggest that if you truly care about the environment, its not enough to trade your SUV for a Prius, use the right lightbulbs, or limit your lawn to organic fertilizers. To the contrary, you need to start thinking about something way more important: i.e., having one less child.
The basic premise, the study reports, is that a person is responsible for emissions of his descendents.
Yes, that's right...they'll pay for an abortion to kill a baby, and they'll pay for cancer patients to kill themselves instead of getting chemotherapy, and that's how the Obama Admin plans on saving the planet and the economy: less Americans=less cost

Whoa. Intelligenstia has just declared dominion of the individual, via the state, on behalf of mother earth. And Al Gore was the Prophet.
People will buy into this too. I read of one young lady that had her tubes tied because she didn’t want to ruin the environment by have a child.
This is the fag lobby basically trying to say that being gay is better for the environment, since they don’t produce kids.
In that case, the parents of Paul Murtaugh and Michael Schlax are destined for the Lake of Fire.
Conservatives.
Be fruitful and multiply.
Have as many babies as possible, even if it impoverishes you.
Homeschool them to inculcate them with your conservative and, hopefully, Biblical worldview.
You will be enriched by the wealth they will bring into the family when they come of age. And when you grow old, they will be more able to take care of you.
We have 11.
Birthers and breeders are homo terms meant to disparage normal people. Suggest BO get rid of his two brats first.
ALL YOUR FETUSES ARE BELONG TO US! and hen disposed of in the dumpster, said the DUmmies.
libtards should do this = fewer future libtards
But maybe a lot of people don't remember the Overpopulation Hysteria of the early 1970's, inspired by Paul Ehrlich's "The Population Bomb", now totally discredited.
Or the garbage that followed, which led to mass abortion, "replacement children only" (the American birth rate went well below that, but was replaced by immigration and immigrant birth rates, who hadn't heard that suicide was the only option), and endless Greenie nonsense about how we should all return to the caves.
Just a regurgitation of the Left Liberal Misanthropy of a dead (really dead) era.

That's a lot of responsibility for one man to bear.
I would suggest that the proponents start the ball rolling by killing themselves,,,,in an environmentally sustainable and green way, of course.
just want to take a moment to point out that the team nickname for Oregon State University is “The Beavers”....
This ‘journalist’ starts the piece calling birthers ‘nutty’ while calmly explaining why Americans need to stop having babies to save the planet as they were discussing what is on TV tonight.
These people have lost thier mind!
Is there some verse in the Bible that says “What should be ‘normal’ is now found insane and what should be insane is now accepted?” Because I feel like I have stepped into the Twilight Zone.
What’s next? Forced abortions ala Chinese Communists?
Sorry, you had your one baby, no more babies for you!
Want to reduce humanity's "carbon footprint" one individual at a time? You first, and we'll be delighted to help.
We have 9. FReep the environment!
That's a lot of responsibility for one man to bear.
Nonsense! You don't think it's a *man* getting up at 2 a.m. to deal with his offspring's emissions, do you?
That crackling sound you hear is the sound something makes just before it breaks. It is coming and there will be blood - the blood of patriots and the blood of tyrants. The Tree of Liberty is oh so parched.
Damn straight I think so. You should slap your menfolk for not taking point at 2 a.m. - I don't care if it's with the family dog or with a child. That's what the men do in this household. I've done it the last two nights myself, and you don't hear me complaining.
And Government Health Care will kill our babies. Because one kind of care that will NOT be rationed is ABORTION ON DEMAND for any reason or no reason through all nine months of gestation. Also, attempts will be made to drive decent, moral health care providers from the health professions, by compelling them to participate in the mass killings. Goodbye Catholic and other religious hospitals that refuse to kill unborn children. The STATE will seize them or run them itself or transfer them to politically hooked up cronies. An appalling, Orwellian vista.
As the song says--"What a wonderful world that would be."
vaudine
There is a pattern in BO Hussein's actions. Every action is designed to weaken non-muslims and / or strengthen muslims. Consider... abortion isn't done by muslims, pro-queer weakens the moral fabric, spend the country into financial ruin destroys the nation.
We live in a world where the news media calls lies truth and truth lies.
Hey you two morons, you are in Oregon. Take the lead for mother earth and do a post-natal abortion on yourselves. The state will assist you.
This is a stupid proposition even with a left-think frame.
What do they suppose the rest of the world will do?
Bingo Godwin, that is what FOCA is all about. 20% of hospital beds are in buildings with the word Saint on the door. Ths Bishops will close them before they will consent to Abortion. This will cause a “crisis”. And we all know what Rahm says about a good crisis.
1. The Wall Street Journal had a good article today criticizing the neo-Malthusian stuff from this study.
2. It’s always somebody else who is the problem. The people who are down on babies could always off themselves. Or they could take a vow of poverty. And they are probably the ones who want to extend human life to well past 100, too.
3. As the youngest of 7, I’m sick of people trying to make big families into some kind of crime. I’m making it a point now, whenever I see a big family, to tell them what a great bunch of good-lookin’ kids they have. After all, those are the ones who will be my banker/doctor/mechanic/grocer etc. when I am old. And I point out cute babies to my own kids, whenever I see them, so they remember that babies are gifts, not burdens.
My fault for overgeneralizing. Can I claim chronic sleep deprivation?
Please help yourself to a Guinness and a kitten, and here’s your Raucous Round of Applause: ***********************
I know I can!
Please help yourself to a Guinness and a kitten

Don't mind if I do!
Just think what this could mean once Obama deathcare takes over! Sorry Mrs. Conservative but you and your husband have already had two children, number three will mean that you have over stepped your quota. Don’t worry our Dr’s are ready for you, just go to door #3 and wait.
You weren’t supposed to give the Guinness *to* the kitten!
Normally I'm against artificial contraception, but when someone that stupid takes themselves out of the gene pool, I can't help smiling.
And more INCLINED.
They already are - how many liberals do you know with even two children? I know a few, but I don't know any with more, and most of them stop at one.

Ooops. It was there, rly ...
Good advice.
I’m pregnant with #4, and this article just makes me want to have more and more!
“To the contrary, you need to start thinking about something way more important: i.e., having one less child.”
But these same people never complain when it’s an illegal alien dropping half dozen anchor babies, or an inner city single mother on welfare with another half dozen.
They would have trouble fitting more than two kids into a Prius anyway.
