I drink the blood of freshly killed liberals.
Anything else just doesn't taste right.

I agree, Jim Beam is fine. Whatever happened to the yellow-label rye?

When I drink, which is rarely, it’s CC and Diet Coke with a twist of lime.
Easy to switch to just Diet Coke with a twist so no one thinks I’m a “stick in the mud”

While I enjoy your sentiment in that statement, you might want to reconsider.
You could get really sick or even die if you drink liberal blood. I’m sure it’s got a much higher contamination rate.

I’ve done Makers Mark and Knob Creek. Very nice. Somewhat slate’y. While not as “polished”, AA is a very nice bourbon and wont break the bank. Yet, on occasion, I do go with MM or KC for “Special Occasions”.

Woodford’s great, but for a couple $$’s more ‘Van Winkle Lot B’ is in an entirely different league.
Hard to find, but by far the best I’ve had in the price range. Buy all of it - if you happen to run across some.
Also like Eagle Rare. Not quite as good as Woodford, but biggest bang for the buck I’ve found.
If you have much disposable income - search out Old Rip Van Winkle.

Technically, Jack Daniels is not a bourbon. It is classified as a Tennessee Sipping Whiskey. Learned that when I went on a tour of the distillery in Tennessee.

My fair isles and the river valleys offer a wee bit o’ tasty liquid Ambrosia: single malt, Glenfiddich 15yo, if you please.
But to answer the question, when the mood takes me, Makers Mark

Bourbon is a bit sweet. If I do drink bourbon, which is rare, its Knob Creek.
Otherwise, I drink only Jack Daniels, Tennessee whiskey.
