We had a young veteran of Gulf War 1 at work. He started dating some woman and got himself a tattoo on his shoulder with a heart and her name. A month later he caught her with someone else. The idiot took the tattoo off with a belt sander.

BTW, after the war was over one of the acts taken was to PAY postmasters for their lost pay during the war.

That would also be the US flag where the North held slaves during the entire time of the Civil War. Lincoln’s emancipation proclamation didn’t free a single slave held by the northern states. Slaves were not free in the US until the 13th amendment. Sorry you learned your false history in public schools.

What happened in 1812?
One murdered by the home guard. One a victim of extortion by the local reb dictator. One threatened with hanging so he had to take to the hills. One a Methodist preacher persecuted by the local bosses because he did not preach the gospel of the Confederacy. The true Confederate believers went bravely off to manfully battle the Yankees but they left behind a bad element who too often abused their neighbors for fun and profit. No wonder the Yankee army was greeted as liberators by many in Southern towns.
The War of Northern Aggression was started by the North.
Abraham Lincoln ultimately ordered the deaths, starvation and homelessness of a lot of men, women and children in the name of big government. I understand you have sensitivity issues over the man, but that’s a personal problem that you’ll need to balance with some reality and facts.
