President Palin [He's not happy about it]
No Cure for That ^ | November 19, 2010 | Davis Fleetwood

Posted on 12/05/2010 5:32:58 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Two week ago, when John Heilemann wrote a cover story for New York Magazine outlining the perfect storm that could carry Sarah Palin to a Presidential election victory in 2012, I would have told you that Sarah was much more powerful as a king-maker and not a King.

And then she went and bragged to Barbara Walters that she can beat Obama in 2012 this.

Hah ha. Funny. In an Armageddon kind of way right? We can’t be that stupid, can we? Well… in the immortal slogan of an era long ago: yes we can!

So I decided to re-read Hielman’s article to see if his logic held water. I think I can summarize the article in this way. 1: Palin is doing all of the little behind the scenes things you do to lay the groundwork for a run. 2: The only other major GOP contender is Mitt Romney, who both fails to inspire and has the albatross of having served as Gov of Massachusetts when that state passed a healthcare plan that looks a lot like the plan that has all of the Randian Regressives calling Obama a socialist. B: The White House is eating this up, thinking that Palin is so polarizing that she could not possibly win, but mother*****n thirdly; NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg will launch a credible, Ross Perot style independent campaign. And in these polarizing times, with populist fervor on both the left and the right and the economy showing no signs of improving, it is a crap shoot with the odds on favorite in this scenario being Palin.

“She’s a supernova,” says former Bush advisor Mark McKinnon. “The only parallel is Barack Obama. And look what happened to him.”

In this scenario, those who interpret the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012 as a portent of the end of time may well be right. Because the nuclear codes will then fall into the lap of a woman who thinks the earth is only 6 thousand years old and that our illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan are Gods wars, that “God” is on our side.

Now, I know that my views, and how I present them, often earn me the scorn of those who would label me an elitist liberal snob.

You know why I am snob? Why I am elitist? Because liberals – or progressives are right. You are wrong. End of story.

When conservative forces in the south were arguing for separate but equal facilities for blacks during the civil rights struggle, does any version of history look back and exonerate the apes that held onto the conservative position? No!

Twenty years from now, when you are trying to explain to children why there was so much debate over Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and Gay Marriage, whose side will you be on? The Fred Phelps hate mongers and Military macho dick wavers who want to keep gays in the closet?

No. Twenty years from now, you will look back at this time and think, what was the problem? Why were we dragging our knuckles like apes?

Sarah Palin is a regressive with a growing army of grown men in Halloween Colonial Garb or crucifix clutchers or Ayn Rand disciples who will, if given the full reigns of this country, send us back to the Stone Age. Palin and her followers will disagree, of course, on the grounds that since archeologists place the Stone Age about 700,00 years ago and therefore 694 thousand years before their world began, that my conclusions are irrational and mathematically impossible.

But a serious run from the barracuda seems more and more plausible. What do you think- two years out; whom do you see winning the Presidential election in 2012?

1.) Who are these people who think Mayor Bloomberg is a credible third party candidate? (2.) Why is the homosexual agenda always compared to black civil rights? (3.) Why is anti-Christian bigotry the only one that doesn't elicit scorn, ridicule and shunning?

As a high school kid I asked a woman why she voted for a particular candidate. She replied that she ‘just liked him better than his opponent.’ Logical or not, that’s the sort of thinking that elects candidates and I expect the next President to be elected by similar criteria. I believe Sarah is versed well enough in foreign policy to keep us out of trouble, which is more than can be said of the present occupant of the oval office and by the time 2012 gets here she’ll be a whole lot better liked than he is. If she runs, she’ll win.

There is only one way to stop it... Have Obama and Biden resign and let Boehner be President.

fight bigotry and discrimination against white male, christian and productive ppl should be the next civil rights movement. Don’t ppl think its unfair that just because you’re born a white male that you’re punished? Because you work twice as long as the next person that you’re treatment differently and punished?

"crucifix clutchers"

Why is it that they can crudely ridicule our heart-felt beliefs with such alacrity, in the public eye, without eliciting any kind of censure?

Huh?
What kind of number is 700,00?

Is this cat trying to say Palin is a "young earth" creationist?

That she thinks the earth is 6,000 years old?

Is that true, is that her belief?

Because, although I refuse to cheer-lead for her, I would
certainly vote for her should she run & be nominated.

Unless she believes that load of bunk. That would make her a nutcase.

I think there is a very real possibility of a Bloomberg or Trump 3rd party run.

I see that as a very good thing for Sarah Palin. The race would look an awful lot like Rubio’s senate race in FL with Bloomberg or Trump splitting the liberal vote with Obama, allowing Palin to win.

This is all pure unreasoned crap. Liberal masturbation. Bloomberg is a loser. He had to screw with the laws to win again.

This writer worked for DENNIS KUSINICH. That is the type of crack smoking lib he is. He states he is always right because he is a commie. How is that? Has he picked up a paper lately? I would like this dolt to point to the one successes this administration had using his progressive ideas.

Interestingly my 88 year old mother does not like Sarah which strikes me as odd since she is strikingly conservative. My 91 dear old Dad thinks she is great.

I don’t see how she cannot be the nominee for 2012 unless something drastically changes in the next year.

Romney, Gingrich, Huckabee are retreads that just won’t put the ballots in the boxes for the primary wins. They won’t say the right things that the populace wants to hear today. They are politicians and they have to parse their words so they feel that they do not alienate anyone.

Palin doesn’t worry about alienating anyone, just telling it like she sees it to congregate the masses. That is the mood of the country that goes beyond active Tea Party members, hard-core conservatives and right-minded independents.

Mc Connell already jumped the shark on unemployment benefits and there is more to come in deficit spending that will put the establishment Pubbies against the citizenry that elected them and will be voting for president in 2012.

The retreads wont be able to stand up against the storm that will be brewing.

They were. This fool is ignorant of the history of his own social movement, not only with regards to the Civil Rights Movement, but more importantly about the progressive drive for "eugenics" and birth control as a way of managing the numbers of what the Left thought to be "undesirables", i.e. blacks. In other words, the progressive left is steeped in a history of what can only be called slow genocide.

To your last question - it’s predicted because they hated Him (Christ) even before they hated us. It’s only going to get worse.

She has said on the subject, that while she doesn't think that it should be part of the ciriculum if it comes up....

PALIN: “Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information. “Healthy debate is so important and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both. And you know, I say this too as the daughter of a science teacher. Growing up with being so privileged and blessed to be given a lot of information on, on both sides of the subject — creationism and evolution. It's been a healthy foundation for me. But don't be afraid of information and let kids debate both sides.”

She has said in her first book something along the lines of that she doesn't think evolution alone is sufficient to create mankind from an ape without the direction of God, or some such.

Not a very pro-science view for the daughter of a science teacher, but apparently the Alaskan GOP is very pro-Creationism and thinks it should be taught (despite such being patently unconstitutional).
