Julian Assange Believes Bradley Manning Being Held A Prisoner Of Conscience

Sources say that while evidence proves “that Manning had allegedly unlawfully downloaded tens of thousands of documents onto his own computer and passed them to an unauthorized person,” there’s no record of any interactions with WikiLeaks or Assange. Similarly, Assange, who is under house arrest at a British mansion and facing possible extradition to Sweden, maintains that he doesn’t know who was the source of the leak. “That’s not how our technology works, that’s not how our organization works,” Assange said. “I never heard of the name of Bradley Manning before it appeared in the media.”

High Tech Terrorists

“The statements by the vice president Biden saying, for instance that I was a high tech terrorist. Sarah Palin calling to our organization to be dealt with like the Taliban, and be hunted down,” Assange told 60 Minutes’ Steve Croft in an interview. “There’s calls either for my assassination or the assassination of my staff or for us to be kidnapped and renditioned back to the United States to be executed…unfortunately there is a portion of the population that will believe in them and may carry them out.”

Prisoner Of Conscience

Assange: I’ve said that if the allegations against him are true then he is the foremost prisoner of conscience in the United States. There’s no allegation it was done for money. There’s no allegation it’s done for any other reasons than a political reason. Now, I’m sorry if people in the United States don’t want to believe that they are keeping a political prisoner. But in Bradley Manning’s case, the allegations are that he engaged in an illegal activity for political motivations.

Going Insane

After months of isolation and sleep deprivation — psychological torture — Bradley Manning probably no longer knows whether he was involved in leaking collateral murder video and various other scandalous documents. True or not, he is likely to confess to it, but what his captors really want is to get Julian Assange. They want to claim he was involved in convincing Manning to leak the documents so they can punish him too. They could make Manning say so, but testimony from a broken co-defendent may not be very convincing. They need more.

So when is Major Hasan going on trial? In that case we have a smoking gun! In Pvt. Mannings case, we have government officials making claims but yet we see NO EVIDENCE (yet). It takes time to make things up, doesn’t it?

So Julian’s boyfriend is locked up.
Boo Hoo, too bad for him.
They both need 40-life, separately.
Let them cry apart over their lost love/S

Manning, if found guilty should be HUNG BY THE NECK UNTIL DEAD!

I watched the interview on 60 Minutes. The key thing which I thought was interesting...Assange believes in Manning’s innocence based on ‘political motivation’. Never does he grasp that there is a general order given by the military on the non-release of any classified material. As far as Assange was concerned....you could turn on anyone, for any reason...and violate a trust.

Manning clearly violated the law and, IMO, should be executed for treason.

I’m not at all sure if Assange has violated the law, though.

Before we have a hanging, may we have a trial or is guilt just assumed on hearsay?

No. I prefer to make examples of people who clearly broke the law by leaking classified intel.

Manning is 100% guilty of what he did, and I don’t want to give his lawyer a chance to explain the “poor guy’s” twisted rationale.

I do too, but first you must PROVE it in a court of law. Has that happened yet? Perhaps there’s a smoking gun that you see first hand.

the act of downloading unauthorized material is the crime - whether he distributed it or ran it up a flagpole doesn’t matter.

Government issue, one each - be careful what you wish for when you enlist

I don’t think that will happen but I do believe than Manning will be spending a very, very long time at an Army post in Kansas.
