Palin is not running for the republican nomination. She's going rogue!

Posted on 06/19/2011 7:01:27 PM PDT by RED SOUTH

Here is the why Romney will be the republican nominee and why Perry or Cain or Bachmann will not save the republicans. Romney is moving left on global warming and staying the course on Romneycare and you will see him take his natural left positions on other issues as the campaign gets underway. His goal is to attract as many democrat voters into the republican open primaries as possible to vote for him. Meanwhile , Bachmann has been brought into the race by the establishment as well as Cain who has no idea. Perry is coming in too. This is to split the Tea Party and conservative vote allowing Romney to win with whatever republican votes he gets plus the democrat crossovers as the democrats will not have a primary race with Obama running unopposed.

I believe Sarah Palin knows this. I think Palin also believes the republican party is worthless. Like us , she has watched them sell out once they got the House back as the current leadership is from the same group of republicans who passed big government and huge deficits under Bush and voted for TARP and bailouts. Boehner and Cantor was there for it all. Just the other night Palin said she was watching and hoping she didn't have to go rogue on them.

The big debate has been , is Palin running? She seems to be and at the same time , doesn't seem to be. I think she is running for President but not for the republican nomination. I think she will send shock waves through the political establishment when she does announce that she is running as an Independant , going rogue. That is why she is in no hurry to announce and can wait pass the filing deadlines for republican primaries. Organizing4Palin is in 50 states , she has enough people to get on the ballot in all 50 states. The bus tours , the movie Undefeated is part of a general election strategy instead of a republican primary strategy. Her famous speech in Wisconsin was as much against republicans as it was against democrats.

Please don't bombart this thread with , no third party posts and how it will hand Obama another term. That is just plain false. Obama has sunk so low that his campaign is hopeless. Imagine the state of the race if Romney is the nominee. If you think people sat out because of McCain , you have not seen anything yet. The middle between Obama and Romney will be wide open and a conservative candidate could beat them both easily. Perot lead Clinton and Bush in 92 before he dropped out and got back in again.

It’s an interesting analysis and entirely possible.

However, if that’s the republican strategy it’s going to fail in the south on Super Tuesday. The South isn’t going to vote for Romney any more than they did last time. It’s going to hand the Republican nomination to another candidate, someone who doesn’t drop out after the Northeast primaries.

It might well split republicans and hand Obama another term, but he’d get that against Romney anyway. So unless she splits the vote against a better republican, Obama’s in. Obama is going to be hard to beat regardless. Because the disatisfied looney left doesn’t have anyone else to go to, and the blacks are still for him.

I think Palin would pull more votes than Romney and it would send major shock waves through the Democrat Lite party of republicans.

And I think that it might just work.

Romney is just the placeholder until someone comes along that captures America's attention. That may be Perry, but it may not.

Palin is not running. She has tasted the pain a campaign creates. Right now, she is making $20,000,000 a year, and will be a kingmaker in 2012.

If someone who shares her values can be elected, she is smart enough to know that is victory without another round of pain.... and since she will be that person's “kingmaker,” she will be the most powerful Republican for the next 8 to 10 years.

Every conservative I know

We will write in Gov. Palin before that.

Well, I don’t know if this deserves a serious answer or not.

But I half agree with you.

Palin will run as a Republican if the party comes around and starts making sense. She did so in Alaska, twice, and beat out corrupt Republican insiders for Mayor and Governor.

If the media and the party insiders refuse to let that happen, however, then I agree. She will run as the Second Party candidate, and the Republican Party will be finished.

When the Republicans replaced the Whigs in 1860, because the Whig party was simply too corrupt to survive any longer, a lot of the best former Whigs came over and joined the new Republican Party. I imagine that would happen again. If the Roves and other insiders refuse to let reform into the party, then a lot of the best Republicans would probably come over, sooner or later, to the new party.

It would take someone like Sarah to do this. I think she has the capability to do it. And nobody else does.

But she won’t do it unless she has to. Still, I agree. She is leaving that door open, in case the GOP decides to commit suicide rather than change.

She is on the books for about $20,000,000 a year, between FNC, consulting, books, and her paid speeches. Why take a chance to be marked a loser and risk all of that?

2008 is blamed on the Bush aftermath and McCain. A 2012 loss would be blamed on her personally.

In 2008, she came close to quitting one weekend. The personal attacks against her Down’s Syndrome child and other family members had gotten to be too much. In addition, after the campaign, when she returned to Alaska, it only got worse.

I love, support her, and wish she could be President.... but know she is too smart to run.

The Republic wasn’t all that old back in 1860, either. The Whig Party was one of the two major parties, but it managed to kill itself off through corruption and stupidity.

As you point out, it’s now been 160 years since that last happened. It’s possible to reverse your argument and point out the the Republican Party has been around too long, and has lost its way.

I’m not saying this is going to happen, but it certainly seems possible. And I think Sarah Palin is wise enough to realize that she can’t just start another party—she has to work with the Republican Party IF they still have enough sense to pull up their socks, do the right thing, and survive.

I would much rather see the Republican Party pull itself together and open itself to reform. But I am far from certain whether it is now capable of doing that.

In other words, if such a seismic shift is going to take place, it will not be through any one person’s choice, or even the choice of a fairly large number of people, but because the time has come.

Time will tell.

Wow. I think you nailed it.

Somebody needs to send this to Mark Levin.

Mark, I love ya, man, more than you could know, but you must drop the "I'll vote for Elmer Fudd" false beacon.

Romney as president -- and he disastrously could be, as Obama becomes more despised by Americans every day, and he is -- would guarantee inflammation of statist liberalism at all levels of government, only it would be WORSE because it was done under the "conservative" banner, because AS LONG AS YOU VOTE FOR ELMER FUDD, you will be allowing the GOP to blatantly misrepresent itself as the party of limited government conservatism. Congratulations -- you just voted for more statist liberalism and delivered a blow to the strength and unity of true limited government Americans.

God bless Sarah Palin.

I just had to hear again that Sarah is stupid and mocking her for the Paul Revere story.

Telling my friends they are free to live in the dark and be less than curious about the historical facts of Revere's ride, their outright lies or ignorance were not going to change Revere's own account of the events, written in his hand.

Here are three testimonies by Revere housed in the Massachusets Historical Society:

This account is thought to have been penned in 1798
I observed a Wood at a Small distance, & made for that.
When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back,
and orderd me to dismount;-one of them, who appeared
to have the command, examined me, where I came from,
& what my Name Was? I told him. it was Revere, he as-
ked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if
I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He
demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and
aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River,
and that There would be five hundred Americans there
in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up.
He imediately rode towards those who stoppd us,
when all five of them came down upon a full gallop;
one of them, whom I afterwards found to be Major
Mitchel, of the 5th Regiment, Clapped his pistol to my head, called me by name,
& told me he was going to ask me some questions, & if I
did not give him true answers, he would blow my
brains out. He then asked me similar questions to those
above. He then orderd me to mount my Horse, after
searching me for arms.

http://www.masshist.org/database/img-viewer.php?item_id=99&img_step=1&tpc=&pid=&mode=transcript&tpc=&pid=#page1

Paul Revere probably prepared this deposition, containing an account of his ride to Lexington, in 1775, at the request of the Massachusetts Provincial Congress.
at the bottom of the Pasture,
intending, when I gained that, to jump my Horse & run afoot; just as I
reached it, out started six officers, siesed my bridle, put thier pistols to my
Breast, ordered me to dismount, which I did: One of them, who appeard to
have the command there, and much of a Gentleman, Asked me where I came
from; I told him, he asked what time I left it; I told him, he seemed supprised,
said Sir may I crave your name, I answered my name is Revere, what said he
Paul Revere; I answered yes; the others abused much; but he told me not to
be afraid, no one should hurt me; I told him they would miss their Aim.

[Page 2]

He said they should not, they were only awaiting for some Deserters they expected
down the Road: I told him I knew better, I knew what they were after; that
I had alarmed the country all the way up, that their Boats, were catch'd
a ground, and I should have 500 men their soon; one of them said they had
1500 coming; he seemed supprised and rode off, into the road, and informed
them who took me, they came down immeaditly on a full gallop, one of them
(whom I since learned was Major Mitchel of the 5th Regiment Clap'd his Pistol
to my head, and said he was going to ask me some questions, if I did not tell
the truth, he would blow my brains out. I told him I esteemed my self a Man
of truth, that he had stopped me on the high way, & made me a prisoner, I
knew not by what right; I would tell him the truth; I was not afraid;
He then asked me, the same questions that the other did, and many more, but
was more particular; I gave him much the same Answers; he then Ordered me
to mount my horse, they first searched me for pistols. When I was mounted,
the Major took the reins out of my hand, and said by G-d Sir you are not to
ride with reins I asure you; and gave them to an officer on my right, to lead
me, he then Ordered 4 men out of the Bushes, & to mount their horses; they were
Country men which they had stopped who were going home; then ordered us to March.

This The draft deposition was the basis for a clean and corrected copy, Paul Revere's deposition, fair copy, circa 1775.

Mr.
Prescot said to me putt on, he turned to the left, I turned to the Right, + [See additional information provided by Paul Revere at the bottom of page 1.] towards a
wood in the bottom of the pasture, intending when I reached that, to jump my horse &
Run afoot. Just as I reached it out started Six others on horseback, wrode up to me with their
Pistols in their hands put them to my Breast siesed my bridle and ordered me to dismount, which I did. One of them who appeared to
have the command there, and much of Gentleman, asked me where I came
from, I told him, he asked me what time I left it, I told him, he asked me said Sir may I crave your
Name, I answered my Name was Revere, he said what Paul Revere, I said yes, the others the others abused me much, but he told me not to be afraid, they should not
hurt me. I told him they would miss their Aim. He said they should not, they were after sour deserters
that were on the Road. I told him I knew better, I knew what they were after, that I had alarmed
the Country all the way up, and that their Boats had catched aground, and I should have 500
men their soon. He seemed supprised and rid imeaditly up to the Road to them that stopped me.

So was in fact correct but, everyone seems bent on proving her an idiot but ignoring what the real problems are in this country.

None of this idiotic and adolescent observation will put food on the table or even make more affordable.

Fuel supplies and the ever escalating cost are not being addressed.

A government bent on telling you how to live your lives and just who will spend your money with are not being addressed.

But banal, churlish and factually incorrect hubris are so important? /S

I really you're wrong, and here's why.

Let's imagine it's Obama vs. Romney vs. Palin.

Who will get the majority of ELECTORAL COLLEGE votes? Answer: none of them.

So the election will be thrown into the House of Representatives. The House will probably be 55% Republican and 45% Democrat. How many of them will vote for 3rd party Palin? Very few, certainly not a majority.

So if Palin runs a 3rd party, she automatically loses. Automatically.

There are intriguing possibilities. Let's not dismiss the musings so quickly.

One thing I am absolutely sure of, Sarah Palin loves this Nation and its people. Though her detractors don't want to admit it, what she did in resigning a governorship was more principled than any politician has done in my lifetime: she resigned from a job she was doing well until both political parties' establishment goons decided to try and assassinate her with lawsuits which hurt Alaska more than Sarah. I have Alaskan friends who will tell you exactly that, because they were first hand witnesses to the bullshyte.

How does that enter into the calculations of what Sarah is trying to do now? ... No, she is not trying to become a millionaire exploiting the woes of her nation, and anyone offering that crap should be shunned immediately as not worthy of rational discussion. What is Sarah Palin up to, given the current crop of rinos, and weak candidates for national election? Let's look at the possibilities. She is not the feckless pubby also ran type person willing to let the bastard establishment herd We The People.

If Sarah can gain the Republican nomination, it would mean that democrats crossing over to vote int the pubby primaries either voted for her or could not change the tidal wave out-pouring for Sarah by casting their votes for the beatable Romney or Bachmann. ... I better pause to fix myself a drink at this point before continuing, because I can already sense the slams coming my way.

There is one thing absolutely sure that America needs at this late hour in our destruction: we need pubbies to control the House and have a veto proof majority in the Senate, if we are to save the Republic regardless of whether barry the bastard is re-elected. ow can that happen? ... Conservative voter turnout, accompanied by activated moderate voters who see the nation in death throes under the democrats.

The questions then becomes, in my mind at least:

1) How does one increase turnout of enough voters who are not dead-head democrat welfare dependents voting for more handouts?

2) If Sarah runs in the pubby primaries and loses, how many conservative minded voters will bother to go to the polls in November?

3) If Sarah runs as a third party candidate and splits the pubby voting groups, but picks up moderate and disgruntle democrat votes, what effect will that have on the down ticket positions to be voted upon?

4) If Sarah stays out of the presidential squabble, and works to get conservatives elected, how much real influence can she have on trunout nationally, so that the democrap stranglehold is broken?

Answers, to me anyway are:
1) There is no insurance of informed voters coming to the polls because too many are already dumbed down to a disastrous level. But we the paying attention people have got to try to save our Republic;
2) How many disgruntled pubby Palin fans will vote anyway is a toss up, but I think if Sarah runs for the pubby nomination and does not get it, she will not slink away and lick her wounds because she loves this country too much to walk away from the dual at hand;
3) HERE is the real issue! The only way to save this Republic from the future hope for commie state and change to a federal oligarchy is for people to get off their lazy asses and vote the bastards out! If people have enough interest to go to the polls and vote for even a failed third party candidate, that puts these before detached slugs in a voting booth to cast down ballot votes!
4) Sarah PAlin can only cover so much ground and visit only so many districts and states up for grabs. She will have far more influence bringing people to the polls as a pubby nominee or third party candidate.

Anyway, that's my scenario and I'm stickin' to it ... for now. [BTW, Rick Perry, shut up and sit down; America is not going to elect another Texan this soon after the globalist experience with your friend George.]
