One future presidential nominee needs someone with a totally different ethnic and social background. The incumbent needs someone who doesn't trip over their tongue and has star power to rekindle his fading one.
The future looks bright for a showdown of major proportions this November. The stakes have never been higher and both sides will send their biggest players to the sandbox for the tournament that produces just one winner.
Hillary Clinton is tired of traveling the world as this country's Secretary of State (who can blame her) and she's ready to park it for four years. Where better than as vice-president to her former adversary and boss, Barack Obama, where she can contemplate a run for President in her early 70's the next four years while attending state funerals and shopping center openings through her largely ceremonial position.
On the other hand, bright and ambitious up-and-comer Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida is fresh out of the box and itching for a fight with Obama. Who better to compliment Mitt Romney's Beacon Hill reputation than a refugee Cuban from South Florida who just might turn the Latino vote on its ear with his brilliant oratory and grasp of the issues. Young and vibrant, a perfect vice-president who can be groomed for the next eight years, as George H.W. Bush was under Ronald Reagan. It would be hard to stop Rubio's candidacy in 2020 to be the 46th President of the United States....

I thought HIllary just said she was getting out of politics. That being said, I do believe Biden will NOT be on the ticket. Obama will have to try to have some kind of hail mary in the fall.

I think it will be Romney and pretty much guarantee it will be Romney in my state but I’ll be voting for Santorum.
Putting aside the fact that Romney is going to get slaughtered regardless who he picks. I do agree that Rubio is a real possibility though I don’t believe the VP slot means much. I would be stunned if Clinton agreed to that. I see her taking off 4 years and running in 2016.

If Rubio is on the ticket, this old vet will be voting for anyone else. Rubio and Jindel have the same problem as obama. They are NOT Natural Born Citizens and therefore not eligible.

I don’t think Hilary will be running in 2016, though she might like to do so.
She’s almost 65 years old.
She looks decrepit now. She’ll look even worse in 4 years. I think her presidential aspirations are past.
She may be involved in some other way, perhaps another cabinet position or something. Her time as presidential candidate, if Obama is still running for 2012, is done.
If that is the match-up, the only certainty is that America will lose!
The ageing process hasn’t been kind to Hillary. She’ll be far too ugly to make a run in 2016. She missed her chance.

Good point. That is the one thing that gives me hesitation. She really doesn’t look well and looks exhausted.

She may be wonderful to the libs but to much of the country she brings quite a history, the least of which is that she was caught stealing the White House silverware.
I wouldn’t vote for Rubio inthe VP spot for Romney. I would love to vote for Rubio but one cannot vote for a VP without also voting for the attached P and I won’t vote for an Abortionist,

I still think she should stay out of politics and keep a eye on her husband. He really needs watching. That sounds a little dirty, doesn’t it? Maybe she should stay gone and not watch that kind of stuff.
